Hello all,

According to our timeline our I-130 should have been approved on November 30th. So as suggested, on December 11th my husband called USCIS who almost resented him for calling and told him it's not reached the average time yet so in other words to stop bothering them about it.

I'm surprised nothing is moving but most of all why are there timelines then if USCIS doesn't care about them?

Do any of you have any idea of what could be done next to get answers about our approval?

Thank you for your time and good luck to you all waiting also!

Christine.

sorry hun here ya go.....

Good Day All,

Just a quick update on some news that a fellow VJ received late yesterday from USCIS with regards to I-130's.

First of all, this was obtained from a senior Immigration Officer, which I believed they are called a G-18 or something to that effect. They are now working on clearing up the mess on the I-130's - oh wow - they finally admit it.

Hopefully within the month, they will be up to speed, what that means, is left to ones imagination...but what the jest of the conversation was that they should be back on track by January 2008. This does not mean that previous guidelines will fall into place, but at least the people here posting should have a receipt number to research.

They have hired additional peeps, a majoritity of them are now located at the Chicago Lockbox area to deal with the new applications coming in. HE DID SAY SOMETHING INTERESTING - even though I know this one point, but tjhat dont ever believe what you read on their website DOH!!. But something to the effect and these are his words not mine...that the I-130's prior to December 3rd will be processed at place of origin instead of being transferred to Chicago. Not sure about this one, as there are statements that after August 30th they were going to be sent to Chicago. We all know about misinformation 800 number here, but this guy was pretty high up on the ladder or maybe he was just high, who knows.

But I think it was a bright spot in the mess going on and hopefully some of us will have a receipt number for xmas.

Again, dont bash me for posting but this was the conversation from yesterday to a fellow VJ member,.

Lets keep our thread active with good news yes?

Cheers to all and have a good day (ok try to at least)

The VJ timeline is just based on aggregate data from other VJers, and is meant to give you an idea of when you can expect adjudication. It is not in any way tied to the USCIS. That Nov 30 is just a reference for you.

Unfortunately, USCIS seems to be going by I129F dates for K3s, and you filed your I129F in August, so you have not hit the processing times on the USCIS website of 6 months. Also, few VJers who filed I129F in August have been approved, so there is little reason to think they are approving K3s from August. The I129F date they are supposed to use is the received date (officially, this was to keep from penalizing those effected by the receipting delays) but they still appeared to be going by the Notice Date.

Your I130 is over 6 months from sending, so you could try to contact a congressman or senator about that, and they may get something going for you. But, what dates are on your NOA1. You have that as being in late June in your sig. Do you have a received date stating sometime in May or at least 6 months before today on your NOA1? If they don't have the received date listed, they will probably just respond you haven't hit 6 months on that either, and you have to wait until late December for that.

Hello all,

Do any of you have any idea of what could be done next to get answers about our approval?

Thank you for your time and good luck to you all waiting also!

Christine.
