Artist, yes...come from a family of military service.

I think we should require all 18 yr. olds to serve a minimum of 2 years of service - even if it's in the Peace Corp..

Technology, no, no.

Technology is an ever changing thing and we just keep coming up with more and more, which in turn needs improving.

It's a fast paced kind of thing, but technology will never go away... so I think it'd be a good career option.

Of course, when I have kids, it's all up to them. I'd rather them not go join the military (front lines battlefield wise), but if they want to do something that relates to it like upkeep their technology, it's fine with me.

What's important is for the kid to pick HIS/HER OWN PROFESSION, The medical field is always going to be steady, but it has to be something that he/she will enjoy doing, my folks wanted me to get into medicine, from the time I was 5 years old they stopped getting me toys, because I would play with them for a week or so, then my curiosity would kick in to see what's inside, how it works, and i do recall some of them were like Spring loaded, once i cut them, there's no way to put them back together.

Technology specially software is a no no, we even joke about it at time, Our kids will have to go to Asia to look for work in the technology field, with all the outsourcing happening, and company always on the look out for cheaper and cheaper labor cost, our kids are not only competing with their next door neighbor, their countrymen, but the whole world, which put them at a disadvantage due to the lower cost of living overseas, less safety and regulations in those places, anything to cut corners to save a buck they will do it.

My younger brother is a very bright fellow, he's been playing with computers, programing since he was 13, he went into computer sciences, then looking at the previous graduating classes struggle to get a job, some of them getting laid off, he switch to Mechanical engineering/ Robotics from computer sciences.

For the Army not the regular army or navy soldier, I would want them to Join the Military Academy so when they get out, they'll be officers not regular soldiers.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Former reservist, and would encourage offspring to join. Three hots and a cot, can't beat it, and if you manage your money well, you could leave with a good chunk of change, to pursue whatever career you choose later.
