I'll start: The first gem is a picture of me and my oldest and dearest friend in 1990. I'm the sultry babe on the right. The second one was taken at my high school graduation in 1991. Eeek! I remember that I had to use about fifty bobby pins to hold the cap on. Jon (my English husband) was quite generous when I showed him the graduation picture. Instead of noting my out-of-control bangs, he emphasized that the whole cap and gown thing in the U.S. is "mad."

I have numerous photos way worse than these--my seventh-grade school picture comes to mind, in which I have out of control feathered hair and a shaker knit vest--but I have to dig them up and scan them. This is a start, tho!

Don't by shy! The more embarrassing and specific to the time period, the better!

All mine are at my parents', but I did have corkscrews dangling onto my forehead for all of junior high. I'd wanted bangs, and then all of a sudden my hair got curly. It was frightening.

this is what would happen to my hair when I got it permed :P

Me-Grade8-1.jpg

Awesome, Marilyn! I've got a perm picture too. Oy!

I don't have any pics handy, but I used to wear my hair like Ronald McDonald, only not as red.

I will have to get out some pics and scan them because I had funny hair. my hair was always thick and poofy and curly. one pic I look like I have princess leia (spelling?) buns and really it's just my curls cos my hair was so short
