I do not know what is the problem with the us embassy in cairo, they keep all the cases pending (

I need the DOS phone number please to check on my case. 4 months now AP and no visa till now.

All they will tell you is that your case is still in AP/AR. There is no

timetable of when it will be complete.

Keep checking for your case status every 2-3 weeks.

Thanks.....now i have a new number to call to be told it is pending, and one that is not overseas.

btw, k-1 visa for iranian fiance, male, he was interviewed in Ankara on April 25, 2007, verbally approved, awaiting security clearance.

He was told at the interview a 3 week to 2 month wait, DOS told me 6-8 months. I assume his clearance was started in February when Ankara received the paperwork.
