I want to take a brief moment to announce that lal_brandow, Yodrak, and Mags have been set up as new moderators in the forums. They were previously Scout Members and have proved their ability to be level headed and fair. As members of the board they can often see events on the forums that might violate the TOS that I can not see as easily (they are in the trenches more, so to speak). If required, they are now able to take disciplinary action such as locking threads, suspensions, etc (they will use this Guide here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=322 as a reference). While this is hopefully something that will not happen often, sometimes things do get out of hand and it is good to have people there to soften the blow and fix things up sooner than later (in the past if I was offline and things happened there could be delays before I could address things).

Please know that even though they are moderators they are still the same friends we all know however just with a few extra tools at their disposal to help out with :). They will not have access to anything protected in the privacy policy (IP address, server logs, etc). If you are concerned with something you may PM them or me directly. There will be no power trips or anything like that. This should only be a good thing for the site!

07/07/2007 Green Card arrived

Thx Laura...it was more tongue in cheek tho ;)

Anyways, I think putting the 'moderator' title on is wayyy better than this 'scout/organizer' title. It's calling it what it is, and I think it's a step in the right direction.

Plus, I think the choices were deffo the most 3 fair minded to choose from, so I'm happy with it.

Now that there are MODS, I think the organizer title is ok...certainly distinguishes between the two. But when it was just scouts/orgz....I figured, if you can move a discussion you're a mod, so why not just call it that?

Eh that's a long dead horse ;)

I'll admit Scout always had me thinking of someone dressed in a little uniform selling cookies. Ah, whatever floats yer boat! :P

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png
