Manila Embassy Interview/Visa Status

Okay, our interview is not on the website, but I emailed the embassy and received a reply that our interview is scheduled for June 5th and the package was mailed today. There is no date given for the medical. I guess it pays to be persistent.

Wow congratulation you already have your interview... lol now it makes me worried... I checked our case # but it shows NO NEW interview sched.... We requested for either June or July, i'm worried that i might be included in the June batch but as i check the website for visa sched it still shows my old sched... :crying:

#32 Do you intend to work in the US? State the employer etc- Yeah i intend to work but dont know about the employer and other things their askin for

I have my BSN Degree but I havent work yet, whats the best to put in here guys?

#17 List all educational institutions, not including elementary- Should I include my H.S years? Or just my BSN will be enough?

Yeah, I'm still here. We were scheduled to go back on Monday, the 23rd, but we are trying to re-schedule because there are just tooooo much to do. Since I am the only surviving legal heir, I need to get all of my Mom's affairs in order before I leave. I guess I wasn't thinking straight when we scheduled a very short trip here. Should have known that dealing with the government (my Mom was a gov't employee. Phil. air force) will not exactly be a stroll in the park.

My hubby, who's your fiance's katukayo btw, is becoming an expert in driving in Manila. LOL

Anybody planning on getting together anytime soon?

JoanBill, It is only 1.5 hours on a bus to Manila from Pampanga depending on what part you are from. The medical can be done anytime after you receive the Packet 4 and appointment letters. CFO can be done early too, but she will not get the stamp until her interview is complete and you have the K-1 Visa. The Medical take 2 days and the CFO is only a few hours. My wife completed day 2 of the medical then went to the CFO and finished it in the afternoon.

For the CFO, she will need copies of your divorce papers (if any); if 18-21 a parents consent letter with a copy of her parents ID for signature verification; if 22-25 a letter of advisement with the same signature validation requirements. They also asked for 2 photos (regular) while at the CFO, a copy of her BC and CENOMAR (singleness)... there might be a few more requirements, but a search in the onld Manila thread for CFO and SLE will help you. Long ago I saw this mentioned, but now I cannot find it - so your help is appreciated. I remember reading it is possible to go in to St. Lukes earlier than your assigned date for the two medical days. My questions are -

What conditions have to be fulfilled before this can happen??

Do you have to let St. Lukes know beforehand??

Can anything else be done early while in Manila - such as attending the CFO seminar??

Here's the short story - it is somewhat of a burden for Joan to get to Manila from Pampanga. Once I receive our NOA2, I am gonna go visit Joan again and hand-deliver the NOA2, financial documents and myself. She will be traveling to the airport to greet me, and I was thinking it would be nice if she could take care of other things while she is there.

For the Medical Exam at SLEC:

What to bring:

1. Appointment Letter

2. Passport

3. Passport Photos (three (3) 2x2 passport photos as stated on the DOS website [CLICK HERE] (referenced on page 3 of Packet 4)

4. Payment of $95 USD (paid in pesos / $95 USD equivalent)

5. Ballpoint Pen

6. Tissue

7. Sweater or Jacket (SLEC is air conditioned and cold)

NOTE: Beneficiaries please bring or know your sponsor's personal infomation (address, phone number, and ssn #) for the SLEC forms. Don't be alarmed because the beneficiary's passport will be taken at SLEC and delivered to the USE along with your medical exam results prior to the visa interview. Beneficiaries please eat beforehand because SLEC prohibits food or drinks inside of the facility. Guest(s) and family member(s), except the beneficiaries child(ren), will NOT be permitted inside of SLEC. REMEMBER - The medical exam is a two day process. Day 1 is the medical exam and Day 2 is the vaccination. At the end of Day 2, SLEC will give the beneficiary their X-ray film and the vaccination worksheet/record (DS-3025).

The man is a desperate man that wants companionship. He doesn't trust that girl at all, but he is foolish enough to think he can control her. Things and methods he talked of regarding controling, scare me. He believes she is a lesbian, just like my wife. In fact told me that while he was in the Philippines with his wife, they lived with my wife. According to him my wife was living with her lover (his wife) daily when I wasn't there. He is foolish enough in my opinion that he will believe her. The man is 67 and the girl is 20! Gimme a break! The motives for her to come to the USA are clear. BTW, this man just seperated from his last Filipina wife about 9 months ago. She lived with him eight years and left him for another man. She was 38 years younger than him.

You know, I just don't understand why these old guys don't just move to the Philippines - they would have more young "companionship" than they ever dreamed was possible (except for Hugh Hefner) in Angeles City or Subic Bay.

The idea of "controlling" a lesbian is just insane and will end up getting him in deep trouble.

I agree with you on that one, but good gosh, what could he possibly do with a 20 year old??? DREAM?
