Hi all! I guess we fall under this category now too.....my AOS was transfered to CSC on Jan 24.

Noa1: 11-07-2006

Biometrics: 11-28-2006

Transfer: 01-24-2007

My EAD hasn't been touched since we filled it though (smae time as AOS) :huh::(

Hey All!! Back after a couple of months absence.... My other daughter came over for a visit during her summer holidays, she went back this last Wednesday 24th :crying: , so been a little busy with catching up and the holidays. Great to see others willing and able to step in and take up the slack with the list keeping. :thumbs:

So I hope everyone had a great Chrissy and New Years. :dance: Wonderful to see so many being approved. Needless to say, I feel I am going to stay at the top of the list for a while yet, just counting down to March 6th when I can contact USCIS and find out what is going on as it will then be 6 months since transfer. I did contact FBI and was told that the name check thingy was done and processed in a day. So I guess it is the background check part of it or the fact that my file makes such a nice coaster that nothing else has happened on it, never got that email to say that CSC actually received it, but was told on the phone that they had.

FINALLY, I got my SSN, it took USCIS **2 MONTHS** to update their system so I could be issued one. So I guess I will be hitting the pavement next week looking for a job. So my 12 month EAD was reduced to 10 months by the time I was actually able to work. *sigh* :blink:

My daughter, who came over on a k2, had her case touched at long last on the 15th January, but nothing since. Funny if she gets approved before I do. :huh:

Hi Kaffy! It's nice to see you again. :)

Not that I have any more insight into the "black box" than you do, but I think that it's usually the biometrics (fingerprints) that get processed and returned (and that you can check with the FBI about) so quickly. The namecheck is separate. Obviously, though, each case is different, and maybe your namecheck really did just breeze through. :)

Also, we had a rash of CSC people getting touched (after long, long delays) on 1/15, which was MLK day, which was also a federal holiday. So I kind of decided it was a fluke. But then, M. got approved recently, after being one of the ones who was touched. So maybe it was a good sign. :)

Best wishes for speedy approval, for both you and your daughter! We need to clean the cobwebs off the early names on the list.

Conditions Removed! Ten-year green card received 6/24/2009. No more USCIS for a very long time.

Well I just posted in another forum trying to find out the steps I need to take for my other daughter as she is seriously considering coming over to the US to live as well. Time will tell on that one and I have everything crossed, including my eyes, that she will.
