The Male/Female Circumcision Discusssion:

To me, male circumcision is the equivalent to, maybe, ear-piercing in infants, which in my book isn't a form of mutilation.

If you feel that a baby shouldn't be touched or altered in any way prior to adulthood, that's fine, but imo female genital mutilation and male circumcision are nothing alike. A girl who has FGM done on her experiences pain for years and years after the procedure. Part of the reason for this is that it's rarely performed in an actual hospital or by someone with medical tools, so it's usually done with a kitchen knife or razor and thus, rarely heals properly, if at all.

Also, the tissue cells that form the ####### in girls are the same cells, I believe, that form the head of the ####### in boys. Cutting off the ####### is like cutting off the entire head of the #######, not just a membrane of skin. Cutting of the ####### is like cutting off the testes because the same cells are used to make those organs in females and males.

I don't think anyone here is making fun of you, at least I was not. You certainly can make the point that circumcision is not needed or even has some negatives, as it's an arguable point. But I'm sorry, to compare the removal of a girls #######, which essentially ruins a woman's chance to ever have a normal sex life, with circumsion which does little harm (if any) and may have some health benefits, is ridiculous and you should expect to hear that from people.

Actually, if men and women didn't enjoy sex, the world would be a better place.

(No teen pregnancies, no HIV epidemic in Africa, no cheating on partners, etc.)
