We're not fighting them over there, we're creating more of them. Iraq was no threat to us. Iraqis weren't coming here to destroy us. Now, more than 2500 of our citizens have died over there. For only one reason: That they were sent where we had and have no business of being. Those 2500+ citizens would be alive and well today had the Yahoo in the White House not sent them there to fulfill his personal wet-dream.

And the 3,000 on Sept. 11th? What about them? Chalk it up to experience?

September 11? Iraq is not about September 11. Has nothing to with it. Never did. No matter what the administration went to great lenghts to suggest to get the war they wanted. But you'll never understand that.

What was authorized and what happened were two different things. The President unilaterally abandoned the diplomatic and international enforcement route that were working at the time and gave the marching orders. The President told the weapons inspectors that they cannot finish their job. It wasn't Saddam that interfered with their mission, it was GWB. He wanted his war in Iraq and made sure he got it.

That was Osama bin Ladin in afghanastan, not Saddam Hussan in Iraq, and if I remember correctly any insinuation of Saddam Hussan being involved in 9/11 was found to be invalid

would love to but I can't. There are too many self serving christo-conservatives in my town who believe in violence first, depletion of our natural resources, and the evangelicalization of the world. peace can not reign in those conditions. Other than that, it is a fine town!

Sarcasm, dear.

I'm a little tired of people mixing up what happens in Iraq and Afghanistan. After ALL THIS TIME.

I think you're on to something there... many Fundamentalist Christians believe in the Apocalypse so to them, wanting peace is only delaying the inevitable.

Lobbying for Armageddon

At the center of it all is Pastor John Hagee, a popular televangelist who leads the 18,000-member Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas. While Hagee has long prophesized about the end times, he ratcheted up his rhetoric this year with the publication of his book, "Jerusalem Countdown," in which he argues that a confrontation with Iran is a necessary precondition for Armageddon and the Second Coming of Christ. In the best-selling book, Hagee insists that the United States must join Israel in a preemptive military strike against Iran to fulfill God's plan for both Israel and the West. Shortly after the book's publication, he launched Christians United for Israel (CUFI), which, as the Christian version of the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee, he said would cause "a political earthquake."

....

Republican National Committee Chair Ken Mehlman told the group that "no regime is more central to the global jihad" than Iran.
