My advice to your future husband is:-

RUN, RUN AWAY, RAN AS FAST AS YOU CAN,

my thoughts to you is:-

TAKE SOME PRIDE IN YOURSELF, SHOW YOUR FUTURE HUSBAND THAT YES YOU MAY NOT HAVE MUCH BUT YOU CAN AND WILL DO ALL YOU CAN TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND YOU ARE NOT LOOKING FOR A FREE TICKET TO A US BANK ACCOUNT...

Of course maybe that is what you are looking for $$$$

I'm beyond words, really. The attitude of entitlement just makes me SOOOO appreciative of Sian.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Is this person from Phillipines for real? It seems to me that her command of English is almost as good as that of someone who's native from an English speaking country.... Am I missing something here?

Oh and I feel sorry for your fiance....

I know if Olga asked me for money at this point, I would be shocked, then stunned and finally RUN!

I have told her when she arrives as she will not be able to work that I will be giving her spending money for whatever she may want or need...I think that is expected and acceptable!

So to the OP, it is acceptable to ask for and expect some financial support when you arrive to the US....

otherwise you are nothing more then a

English is very common in Venezuela as well, and it is also taught from kindergarten all the way to university, yet your average Venezuelan wouldn't be able to write so fluently....

SUSPICIOUS!

My wife writes very fluently ... that's my basis for the comment. I would not have made the comment if the OP had been from Venezuela ... I would have no basis.

I told my fiancee in the PI's about this thread. After laughing about it she said 'I can't believe some people. Sometimes I hate being from here because of how some people are. Its embarassing'....haha

Side note...if its his 'responsibity' before you ever get here...what is your 'responsibility' to him. Also, before he came over, what did you do for money? You remind me of an ex of mine. I went and visited her, the day after I left, she quit her job (no I didnt ask her to, she did it to run around with her family). She lived with her family and was well off (OK, yes well off...2 computers in that house, they owned an SUV, shopped often, dvd player, ect.) I was informed later I was supposed to have left her money when I left (say what? she had a job at that moment and they were not needing in any way). I was later told since we were engaged that she was completely my responsibilty and her family cut her off....(again, go get a job..you quit for no reason). I was then asked to fly her AND HER AUNT to Bangkok for new years (excuse me?? NO!!!). She had NO concept of money or the fact I am working two jobs to support myself and eventually us........Needless to say it didn't work out, she even had someone else at the same time!!! My question is....where do these crazy misconceptions come from?

No apology needed. I didn't take it as an attack. I'm often blunt which can sometimes be seen as adversarial, but it is usually not the case.
