Today I received, what I think is a "touch", a mail from the USCIS that says they received our RFE package and that our case has resumed.

WISH US LUCK!!!! and never ever loose faith.

Well... I received a letter in the mailbox today and I am not sure what to make from it. Since it has my eac number, filing type and other things like that but under beneficiary is says information unavailable, attorney name unavailable... but this is the bad part...

The status if this service request is:

Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. IF you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please call customer service at the number provided below.

WHAT?????? is that a RFE..... is that an excuse..... is that ...... WHAT ON EARTH IS THAT????? Well, what do you plan to do.... Im sorry I do not know what to make out of it, anyways I think you should call them and ask what exactly is this about, if they do have your case and what are the additional reviews they are making....

Just hang in there and do what you need to do to find out. Our heart is with you Richard.

I think it is just a standard form letter... a blanket excuse as to why it is taken more than the 5 month processing time... At least that is the why I am reading it. I can't imagine that there is any real cause for concern, but then, who really knows.

that is awful .... i'm pretty certain that is what Sarah got caught up in and it lasted 2 years before she got her NOA2.. hopefully it won't take them long and they get your case done as soon as possible....i will pray for a speedy processing and they won't continue to drag on... sheesh one would think all background checks could be completed via computers (automation) and have every one cleared quickly and efficiently... they really know how to make a long process even longer for no apparent reason other then somebody is to freaking lazy to do their job efficiently... err let me stop before i get on a tangent...

sheesh

will keep u in my prayers and hopefully they will take a lot less then 6 months...
