Hi everyone~

I just lost my wallet in the subway and its a long story how I lost it, to make the story short I lost my employment authorization card also which is in my wallet and I don't know what to do. Is anybody can give me an advice how to get a new one? I just really need it.

I strongly doubt they will just order you a replacement. They'll probably want you to tell them it's lost though, so it can be invalidated.

I reckon that they're going to tell you to order a replacement (with the I-765 + fee). Considering that will take around 90 days to arrive in your mailbox, will probably cost you about $300 and finally, given that you've already been in AOS proceedings for long enough to have received and lost an EAD, I don't think there's much point and you might as well just wait out the GC.

The reason is that you can normally expect AOS to take about 5-7 months from K-1 status. I don't know how long you've been in process or from what status (:time:) but if you can reasonably expect to be done and have your green card in less than the time it takes to get the replacement EAD, don't bother filing for it. The EAD is useless once you're AOS is approved (your green card takes it's place) so you'd be wasting your money on a card that you would likely not be able (or need) to use.
