This is a good thing, if you have been reading posts for a while you would see that a transfere to CSC ususaly results in an approval without an interview.

Very good news and I am so jealous.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

But the bad news is people filing at the same time as you that don't get transferred are getting interviewed and approved quicker.

Case in point:

Out of October filers with interviews. I know of 11 approvals, 1 pending, 13 more with interview appointments.

October filers transferred to CSC. 2 approvals. 16 more in the dark.

Kinda weird that the transfer notice says....in order to speed up processing, we are transferring your case...etc.

I can just emphasize that ! I filed in late August, and my case was transferred to CSC in mid-October. I see September and October filers getting approved every day, some by the CSC, but mainly after interviews. I don't see why not-having-an-interview is so great for everyone here. Most people report about their interview that they're in and out within 30-60 minutes, and the GC follows shortly after that. And the total processing time is shorter. Sounds like a breeze to me.

does every one here in VJ transferred to CSC,and still have interview???
Not everyone, some have case sent to CSC, only to have the adjudicator decide an interview is needed so it then gets transfered to field office for an interview.

Usually it is very good news. Claudeth's AOS was approved without an interview a month after the transfer.

And that was 3 years ago?? Not happening so quickly now. Also your timeline indicates you were not transferred and you did interview.

Anybody heard of Oct 2007 AOS filers still waiting for greencard. That's our situation. Any advice?

Have you heard anything from your friends who filed for AOS in 2007? We filed for AOS in October 2007 and still no greencard. Any advice?

I have seen some take up to 2 years or more to process, sometimes get hung up in name checks.

Only positive note, is IF it gets approved after 2 years of marriage you will avoid having to file an I-751 to remove conditions on a 2 year green card.

If your husband is deployed like mine is. He does not need to attend the interview (he can't) and they understand that. You will need to take his deployment orders with you for the interview. The unit will have a rear detachment and they are very helpful. Ask your husband to talk to them and see if they can arrange for somebody to go with you for support. Thats what my husband had planned in case i got an interview. All the best!
