Hi to all,

Please help I got a letter from the us embassy in Manila stating that I can call the US embassy to set for my interview. Me and my hubby doesnt know what to decide a few days ago my hubby sent the aos bill and 2 days ago I mailed the ds3032 to NVC then got a letter yesterday that my k3 is ready for interview that I will just have to call them for my schedule. Now my question is what you think is the best thing to do with this now that our cr1 isnt finish yet at the nvc do I need to schedule my k3 interview soon? what will happen to the cr1?

any advice please thank you all.

Contact embassy and tell them to postpone the K-3 interview, and that you are persuing the CR-1, you paid the $470 in fees.

OR you can interview for the K-3, and simply wait for the CR-1 interview. This will cost you $131 for the K-3.

thanks for your reply the letter says.

Your case is eligible to be scheduled for a visa interview. You may request an interview appointment date by calling the visa information services.

Does it mean I can schedule it far enough to wait for the CR-1 visa? or do they have the date and time already and call them to find out when? sorry I am just confused need your answers. Thank you

yes its okey, the k3 is valid for 4 months from the date of NOA2.

In our case we got approved last nov. 26 and set an interview on febuary 24.

But we moved it to March 24 since my NVC process for CR-1 is not yet complete.

We are trying to switch my interview to CR-1.

The consulate will extend the I-129F validity for additional periods of time beyond the 4 months.

Contact consulate and explain you have paid the fees ans sent paperwork in for the CR-1 and that you wish to persue the CR-1 visa process.

yeah, but I believe someone said that it might be a few months till you get a CR1 visa versus a K3 visa. I am confused abt the same thing as well :bonk: . Does getting an NOA2 mean you will be approved for the visa for CR1 right after interview or can they make you wait a few extra months afterwards before they stamp your passport? It would be nice to hear from people who successfully swapped their K 3 interview with CR1 Interview and who already entered the US.

thats what I think also that k3 is valid for 4 months from the time you get your noa2.
