Hello Vjers,

How are you all? Congrats to all who got their case #'s.

I've been complaining about this for weeks now. We've been calling NVC.

We've been calling NVC many times but they say they haven't got our case yet.

I wonder whose responsible for this, NVC or USCIS.

Hopefully, we get ours too.

No choice but to wait....*sigh*

Hi!

Don't worry you will get your case number soon.... Mine was approved last June 13, 2008 then we got the case number on June 27, 2008. Then the NVC sent my case to USE last June 24, 2008.

I know you will have your case number very soon.

I would think the responsability is of USCIS since they were the one s who had your file in hand and were responsible for assuring that NVC has received it... therefore go after USCIS and be strong and persistent... it is their most easy exit to brush people off... Call USCIS director 202-272-8000 and raise hell about it ( in a polite way)... they have to tell you exactly where your file is even if they can not answer the exact time frame will take for the process to be concluded at least you will be assured of what they are doing and where it is... Best of luck to you...

Well I finally got to speak to some one at NVC and they told me that I129Fs usually take up 2-4 weeks and that in some rare cases it can take up to 90 days. So I guess now we sit and wait for the 90 days. Just in case though Im going call USCIS to see what day they sent it off. Would they be able to tell me that?

Thanks for the number. I guess you're right, the USCIS is responsible for our case since it's on their hands. But I was just wondering why they would write on the Approval Notice that they sent the case to NVC and when we call NVC they would answer us back that they haven't got our case yet. *sigh*

You're really right, we'll call on the director's number and see what's going to happen, I hope it's good. :(

The same reply also to us when we called up NVC for many times now. *sigh*

90days? :crying: First, we waited for months for the NOA2 and then now, we will be waiting for months again. Hopeless :crying:

USCIS, will answer the same.

Where do you get your case number from? Every time I call NVC i cant get a live operator and it keeps telling me to call back. We got aproved June 12th.

After approval which is the NOA2, we will get a case number from NVC when they happen to receive our case from USCIS and NVC will send it to your embassy at which country you're from. As soon as you're embassy receive your case from NVC, you can start calling them to set for an interview even when you still haven't got the confirmation letter from your embassy.

As for me, we haven't got our case number yet. And NVC keeps on telling us everytime we call that they haven't got our case yet. :(

:crying: This is quite strange. The I-129F was approved on June 16th and I got the NOA2 in hands some ten days later. I have been calling the NVC almost daily but they do not have any records of our case. However, a friend of mine whose I-129F was approved on the same date by the same center already got the NOA2.5, which is a letter indicating the case has been forwarded to GUZ consulate! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're right we're STUCK in the same situation. Nice to hear that someone's ahead of me is also waiting for letter from NVC...hehehe June 11th and yours is June 6th.

Hey, if you're planning to sneak in their mailroom please INCLUDE ours too please.

I am still hopeful that everything would fall into place. Or else I don't know what to do anymore.

Update: I called USCIS this morning and of course, the rep gave me the cookie-cutter answer, which is also the political correct way of saying that she had absolutely no idea what is been going on. The rep. first said the processing could take 120 days. I then promptly told her that the approval notice basically said "if the NVC has not received the case after four weeks of receiving the NOA, please contact the USCIS." She replied that could also take up to five weeks. I asked her if she could check and find out where is my case and she replied no and asked me to call back after July 20th. I was not happy with the answer and asked her what she could do for me differently after July 20th and she refused to answer to that.

Guess I will keep bugging them daily until something or someone moves! *sigh*
