ok well after inquiring with my local GP about getting what I think I still need before going to the london civil sugeon (in particular hpv) I'm now more confussed than ever and at a blank. I just found out that it will cost only £5 less than the civil surgeon per shot for hpv and i have to go find somewhere else to do it because they can't  I was concerned that the time frame for administering the multiple vacinations (6 months) would delay my AOS? But it looks like even starting the course here is gunna cost an arm and a leg. Vito phoned his doctor and I think Pharmacy to find out if I got them done there after marrage how much would it cost. apparently its not covered by insurance but even so it works out at £70 odd. a huge difference.

If I start the course over there will that mean I cant get my AOS finished proccessed till after six months which is how long it takes to admister the full course?

but this is when I am assumming that from what I have read I can delay the shots needed till I am in US, before I adjust status? have I got that that wrong?

Also at what point when applying for AOS do you get a medical? do I have to organise one myself before applying for AOS or do they send you a letter to go get one during?

I'm so confussed I've tried reading the guides but I'm not seeing the answers. I want to do this so its the most cost effective but also causing the least delay on my proccess. someone please :help: me.

thanks Hannah.

From my understanding, you just need to have started the course of vaccinations, not completed them by the time you file for AOS, so if you have a series that are separated by several months, you just need to have the first one completed to have it checked off.

but this is when I am assumming that from what I have read I can delay the shots needed till I am in US, before I adjust status? have I got that that wrong?

You can get the shots completed before you arrive or after you arrive - choose whatever is cheaper or easier for you.

Also at what point when applying for AOS do you get a medical? do I have to organise one myself before applying for AOS or do they send you a letter to go get one during?

You will have a medical with your K-1. The Consulate will send you instructions about getting your medical from a panel physican in your country. You will bring that information with you to your interview. When you enter the US on the K-1 you will hand over at the border a sealed envelope that you will receive from the Consulate with your visa. Your medical results will be in that package. For the AOS you do not have to do another medical if your K-1 medical was done within the year prior to applying for AOS. You just need to provide a copy of the vaccination 'supplement'. You will be given a vaccination 'worksheet' (you can ask for it if you don't get it) from your panel physician when you do your K-1 medical. When you are in the States you take the vaccination worksheet and proof of any additional vaccinations you required and received to a Civil Surgeon - a doctor authorized by Immigration. He/she will transfer the information from your worksheet and proof of other vaccinations to the Supplement. He/she will provide that form.

I'm so confussed I've tried reading the guides but I'm not seeing the answers. I want to do this so its the most cost effective but also causing the least delay on my proccess. someone please :help: me.

thanks Hannah.

Hope that information helps:-).
