Is Obama's Campaign Over?

It may be. I don't see how anyone known to have uttered these words can be elected President:

You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.

So it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations

Barack Obama's arrogance has been evident for some time, and it's no shock, perhaps, to learn that that he shares this bigoted opinion, common among urban liberals, of people who live in "small towns." But to actually express it, in public, at a campaign event, is stunningly stupid. Nevertheless, Obama did it:

It sounds like Obama is scaling back on his effort to appeal to religious voters. And what's this about the yahoos' "anti-trade sentiment"? Would that be like opposing the Colombia trade agreement? Hypocrisy is not unknown among politicians, but Obama seems determined to set a new standard.

Those that are taking offence seem to be the ones who most resemble the remarks. :-) Well, I dunno, the gun thing stirs people up. I wouldnt tell people with guns that they have them because they feel disenfranchised. This guy appears to be some sort of patsy put there to make Hilary's election difficult or impossible. Im all for electing the best person and all that but you can't start spewing this type of stuff out in the general public. It gets people pissed off big time. I know, I spew ####### like this all the time.

He needs to sack up and say"You're damn right I said it and here's why".... She's starting to get on my nerves. When she gets on a roll and her voice picks up a notch it sounds like a cross between fingernails on a blackboard and a cat that is being tortured. That's just my opinion though.

The entire media has jumped all over it as well as those 'bitter' voters. He has done some serious damage. I can't wait to see this week's polls.

Honestly.

For decades NOBODY on the hill has cared about Pennsylvania. Nobody cared when the steel mills and thousands of people lost their jobs. Nobody cared when the neighborhoods declined.

Now the whole country hangs on Pennsylvania.
