I have decided that I cannot go through this entire process.

There are too many hurdles to overcome; the language barrier, the cultural differences, the expense, to name just a few.

I swore that after my ex-wife abandoned us, I would never have a relationship with another American girl. I was acting rashly and thought that Russia held the answer. Oh well, live and learn!

One other thing.....

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!

I hope no is offended (See "My wife left me" thread ;) You are all great folks and have been a tremendous help!

My guess would be that the truth would be the part highlighted above

YMMV

Has anyone started a tread of why American men choose foreign brides? And the guys haveto be 100% honest!

This has been discussed to death here. And i think the general consensus is that if you ask ten guys on the russian forum you get ten different answers.

Первый блин комом.

Being a 75 year-old man, it was getting more and more expensive for me to find 16 year-old girls willing to do what we called back in the Great War "rolling in the hay." Excuse my profanity, please. Turns out that importing a foreign bride only costs the price of the visa, a forged birth certificate, and a small fee to the human traffickers.

But that's just me.
