Processing time is different depending on countries. Some countries take super super long time until interview dates. Some couples have been waiting almost a year and other couples got visa within 6 months. It depends. Also processing time at USCIS varies. Each case is different. We are not marrying the same person. Everyone is different. So, just extending the estimate time does not apply to everyone.

It seems you are downplaying the terrible service we are getting. We will see how you feel and the tone of your posts after you have been waiting 4, 5, 6 or more months for your NOA2. As I said earlier, don't wait until it is too late to help yourself, write your elected officials and media now! Here are the minimum points to make:

The system is not fair. The 6 months is not reasonable when added to all the other times for steps in the process to be apart from your loved one, as is the prioritization of work visas over K1/K3 visas and the fact that USCIS does not let you pay for and get 15-day premium processing like many other types of visas. Don't wait...do it for you and your loved one now.

I don't believe we can convince the general public to care about our needs. They really don't care if we are ever united with our loved ones.....It doesn't concern them. Only if taxes are raised are they concerned. We have to accept it in the backside and just grin alot. Always being so patient.....Eventually approvals will come.....

I suggest don't waste time with Sunshine. He/She has no power to help. Let these people live under a rock.

Write to more and more media outlets - Lou Dobbs/Oprah etc and Senators. Stand up for yourself and your rights! and Express them to people who have the power to help. Maybe it will help, may it won't. One thing for sure is: If you don't try, its 100% failure. If you try, you have increased your odds of success.

When you are old and ready to kick it, you can atleast tell your grandkids, that you spoke up and tried to do something... rather than sucking your thumb and rolling over.

I have written to 8 senators, and multiple media outlets... and am delighted that I have inspired a few more people to do the same....

I don't care if its 6 months or 1 year... My point is very simple: Why does a H1Visa get his/her spouse in 1 day, and mine takes up to 1 year?

Let's see, there are about 60 VSC VJ filers ahead of you and if they continue approving 3 per week, yours should be done in about 20 weeks. Don't delay, write your congressman (and others) today. It's your only hope...other than do nothing and wait.

If some people want to leave after they get their approvals....then good bye :D but when I get my approval....I ain't going nowhere!!!!! All of you people became part of my life and were here with me everyday, sharing emotions, thoughts and giving each other support!!!! And that's not easy no find. I'm very thankful to have found this website and found you guys.

This thread is part of my daily life.....it brings my hopes up....sometimes it makes me feel a little bit sad cause I don't see any action but hey! when this is over and when we all get our @sses or SO's asses to the US, I still wanna be in touch with all of you and instead of sharing together our complains, sadness or frustration about the waiting, we'll be posting funny moments that we have with our SO's like oh.....my fiancee(e) can't stop snoring! or he/she likes zapping....I don't...or he/she uses clean towels everyday to shower....hahahah! You know what I mean......

So once again, I'm not going nowhere!!!!! :D But that's just me you know :D

No Mirla it's like this:

A couple has a dog that snores. Annoyed because she can't sleep, the wife goes to the vet to see if she can help. The vet tells the woman to tie a ribbon around the dog's Privates and he will stop snoring. "Yeah, right," she says.

A few minutes after going to bed, the dog begins snoring as usual. The wife tosses and turns, unable to sleep. Muttering to herself, she goes to the closet and grabs a piece of ribbon and ties it carefully around the dog's privates. Sure enough, the dog stops snoring. The woman is amazed!

Later that night, her husband returns home drunk from being out with his buddies. He climbs into bed, falls asleep, and begins snoring loudly. The woman thinks maybe the ribbon will work on him. So she goes to the closet again, grabs a piece of ribbon, and carefully ties it around her husband's privates. Amazingly, it also works on him! The woman sleeps soundly.

The next morning, the husband wakes up hung over. He stumbles into the bathroom. As he stands in front of the toilet, he glances in the mirror and sees a blue ribbon attached to his privates. He is very confused, and as he walks back into the bedroom, he sees a red ribbon attached to his dog's privates. He shakes his head and looks at the dog and says, "Boy, I don't remember where we were or what we did, but, it look like we got first and second place." hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are the new VSC summary stats that reflect approvals dated through Oct 20th. To compare to the previous report, click here.

The projected number of processing days is based upon the number of open petitions divided by number of petitions approved per day for the various periods. As the approval rate changes, the projected processing time will change also. Perhaps dramatically. Please do not take the projections too seriously.

This table lays out very well in my Internet Explorer. If it looks strange in your browser please let me know. Suggestions as to how to make the Summary Stat Report better are welcome.
