What does "touched" mean?

First of all Good luck and God Bless to all of you who are going through the immigration process. I know it's difficult being apart from someone you love for any amount of time. Anyhow, I have a question. It might seem silly to some but I'm new here so cut me some slack . What does ""touched" mean and how do you know if your application has been "touched"? Also, here's another question - I received on August the 20th (sent by CSC on Aug 17th) and a request for evidence and sent it in August 26th. Who can I call to check to see if they have received this info. I haven't heard anything since then. I sent my I-129F on March 26 and received my first NOA on April 11th. Ok go ahead and let me have it!! Any info is welcome!!

To know if you are touched you must first register in the USCIS website, you need to create a login and password. After that you need to enter both of your case numbers (one for your I-129F and for your I-130) to your portfolio. This way helps you track both of your cases. Once you are in the website, there is a section that will show "date last updated"...this is basically what touched means. Anytime that the date changes or anytime your case is updated by USCIS thats when you get a touch.

We welcome you to the VJ with all the rest of us "patient" people. The first thing you can do for us is to please fill in your timeline...it helps all of us. Next, you should read the "Guides" section about your particular visa petition and the process. Often, you can get an answer about something if you put the word into the "Search" section at the top left of the page. As an example, you could put "touch or touched" and clicked on "Search!" And, you would have the answer you needed.

There are many very knowledgeable people on this website...after a short while, you will know those who are familiar with the process. Also, WORDS are very important and you must know their meanings. And, everything is very LITERAL...do what it says to do...no more, no less. Exactly what is requested!!!
