Hi,

I have been married for over 2 yrs and my I-485 is pending name check. In the due course,if my wife wants to divorce me,what are my chances of survival in this country.

I've heard others say "Divorce is a killer." but usually we survive. Seriously though, if your I-485 is at CSC and your wife doesn't notify them your marriage is not longer valid, you'll just get the green card. If you are going to have an interview in a local USCIS office, then you are not going to pass the interview without your USC wife's support. Whether you have that support is between you and your wife.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Technically, while your AOS is pending name check, you're not yet approved so your wife can still withdraw her I-864 (affidavit of support), which would result in a denial of your AOS. Your best step would be to talk to a knowledgeable immigration lawyer.

Seriously though, if your I-485 is at CSC and your wife doesn't notify them your marriage is not longer valid, you'll just get the green card.

he might "get it", but it would be subject to revocation should anyone learn that his marriage was terminated before adjudication.

Your best bet is to kiss your spouse's ### and tow their line until you get your green card (and if you're male, to do that all the time anyway).
