Thought so. Typical number_6 beat around the bush style answering.

Still waiting on an answer in regards to the actions of the English? Half of the world's current issues are related to previous English decisions. IE EG Israel, Aborigines (aka colonizing Australia), Slaves in America, India/Pakistan etc.. Should we hold the British responsible for this? Common sense says no. But you seem to suggest otherwise.

How about the Australian convicts who where sentenced to death, not slavery, by the English? Human beings who usually committed no other crime than stealing a loaf of bread to survive. Who where then horrifically tortured on a daily basis.. Yes number_6 non-African 'white' people. Should we demand compensation from England?? Ops sorry I forgot, only African Americans had it tough..

Please show me how the Convict deportations happened in living memory. As far as the rest of it goes - the UK does provide financial and other assistance to its former colonies. The question there of course is not whether the UK should help at all, but whether it has helped enough.

Still waiting on your ingenious solution then.. Since everything listed above is inadequate by your standards..

Actually I merely object to your selective interpretation of the issues. You seem to want to blame blacks exclusively for their shitty situations - while ignoring that this is not something that happens just in America, but in many countries which have similar underclass groups. You just want someone to blame (on a broad level). An individual who commits a crime is 'to blame'. A population is not.

I am not referring to you as a racist because of how you refer to black people. You are right they aren't Africans. The point I was making is the things you say about them. You have said a lot of negative things. Whether YOU acknowlegde it or not there are positive African American out there too. But for you to say, you'd be glad to pay them off to leave here makes you as ignorant as the ones that are blaming everything on the WHITE MAN.

I know there are a lot of great black Americans but unfortunately they are being pushed aside by others who are profiting from the ignorance and poverty of their lower class community. couch couch Jesse Jackson. Bill Cosby is someone I highly respect because he has enough common sense to see through the BS and realizes that the community itself is holding itself back, not anyone else. Which he has publicly stated time and time again.

The problem is that you seem to judge an entire population according to a caricature of its worst elements.

Mel has told me that I should be prepared for racism and discrimination on a scale on which I have never experienced before when we move into the midwest. I can't say that I have ever experienced any kind of discrimination on the basis of race in my life. Do you think that I should be concerned?

I do not think you will experience any racism, especially if people find out you are from overseas. You look like a decent clean cut guy and not some gangster kind of punk, so you will be fine. One of my friends from South Africa migrated here a few years ago and has not had any issues. Then again he does not wear his pants at his knees or wear clothes 10 sizes larger either like some here do..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

And what if he did? That would make him 'have issues'?

Funny you should say that chief because the other day a lady asked me to help her because there was a guy standing near her car, in a parking lot, with pants up to his knees. She thought he was going to steal here car and was afraid for herself and her baby. So I approached him and ask if there was any issues. He moved on. So yeah it seems that the guys image did play a part.

Which is another issue I am sure you will deny and play dumb too as well. Dress code that is. These apparent poor kids who are gang banging and shooting up neighbor hoods are driving around in $50K cars wearing $1,000 outfits. But hey segregation is to blame right or was it poverty.. hmmm

Plus wearing pants to your knees does not help you get a job now does it..

As I said - I find your willingness to judge a large ethnic population by 'type' rather worrying.

Which takes us back to the original post.

The facts must be biased then..

Sure. Biased in the sense that its taken an urban/rural divide and turned it into a partisan issue about the differences between States' prison populations.
