This may be a silly question, but I'll ask anyways :) James and I just moved and I just did the AR-11. He got his greencard approved a few days ago, but it has yet to arrive in the mail. So, my question is, the second step after AR-11 is updating addresses for current petitions. Since he doesn't have his greencard, should I do that or not? We have our mail forwarded with the post office and I can still check the mail at my old address for the month of July, but I'm not sure if there is any reason they would need our new address to mail us stuff (I assume the greencard has already been mailed). What do you guys think?

You (&/or your co-sponsor) still need to do the form as well.

Yeah I know, I've got that ready to send off as well.

I read in the 2007 Ombudsman report that if document is returned they will verify the address with the online AR-11 filing list and send the document to the updated address.

I think I wanna cry...

all these people getting approved after just a couple months and then they start whining about their card not being in their mailbox right away....

We were not complaning about not receiving our cards as we havent been approved.

Just mentionning that we have been transfered to CSC and some of us got the NOA in the mail, some didnt.... :wacko:

I wasn't referin to you guys, I was refering to people who indeed got approved and are now waiting for their greencard to come in the mail

I sure understand you wanna have it asap after you get your approval notice, but give me a break, if your whole process only took 2-3 months....

I am waiting for 5 months, just for a touch and not even that is happening....

sorry, just being really frusterated right now!

I updated my address online and the GC came to my old address. I had called the 1-800 unhelpful line when i recieved the "card production ordered" letter in my old address (it was forwarded by USPS via the forwarding service), but the card had gone into production and was mailed by the time I called. We had asked at our POst office if they would forward Gov mail (someone had suggested they didn't) but the Postmaster insisted that unless it has "do not forward" on it they wouldn't. Lo and behold our GC showed up with the yellow forwarding label on it a couple of weeks later. The envelope from CSC was just a plain white windowed envelope - looks very much like a bill/credit card statement. There is nothing on there stating "do not forward" .. and it came through for us no problems! good luck! :thumbs:

Heading out to my medical exam in 2 hours, the one that THEY LOST and I HAVE TO PAY FOR. But I just wanna get this RFE sent back to them as soon as possible.

They sent me a small envelope to reply with, with all their info on the front, but the medical I'm sure will come in a big one. Do I just not use their pretyped envelope?

If this is your first visit , youll be getting the skin test for TB so you'll have to go back in three days to have it checked. They wont do your paper work until then. When they do it will need to be in a sealed envelope so there's no way you'll be able to use the envelope they sent you. Wait til you have it in hand then decide how big an envelope to buy.

CSC has really slowed down! I haven't heard of many approvals there lately...I thought they were really on a roll for a while. :(

It's been 113 days and my husband still hasn't received his EAD in the mail. Was returned to them as undeliverable last month (because they *$ed up our address) and we have no idea if they've resent it. No updates on it since 6/29, the day they told us it was returned to them. No Infopass appointments available until July 23rd, but they'd just tell us that they resent it and they can't do anything anyway.

We really don't know what to do. Any advice? We truly need him to be paid because we have our wedding in 46 days to pay for.

CSC has really slowed down! I haven't heard of many approvals there lately...I thought they were really on a roll for a while. :(

It's been 113 days and my husband still hasn't received his EAD in the mail. Was returned to them as undeliverable last month (because they *$ed up our address) and we have no idea if they've resent it. No updates on it since 6/29, the day they told us it was returned to them. No Infopass appointments available until July 23rd, but they'd just tell us that they resent it and they can't do anything anyway.

We really don't know what to do. Any advice? We truly need him to be paid because we have our wedding in 46 days to pay for.

I called USCIS yesterday-they told me to make an infopass appt b/c we are on day 82 waiting for the EAD. I was told that they will give us an interim EAD immediately......I don't know what to say if they don't have any appoinments other than to keep checking & hope that someone cancels their appt.

I wish we would have just gone to the appointment we had on the 3rd. We cancelled it because we figured the problems were solved when they said they'd resend it. It's been almost two weeks since that.

I just don't understand how an office can be so inefficient and incompetent and then they make YOU feel like you did something wrong.

P.S. Did you call the regular old "information" line? 1-800-375-5283 Were you able to speak to someone, or did they ask for your husband? I'm tempted to call them right now, but I'm afraid they'd ask for him and I'm at work. Boo.
