Hi Everyone

I am new to VJ, what a great site..

My question is, when I receive my NOA2 do I need to send the I-134 Evidence of support form to the California service center so they can attach it to the packet sent to her country, or do I just forward to my Fiancee so she can have it at her interview?

Thanks

You do not send the I-134 to the service center, you send it to your fiancee to have for the visa interview at the consulate. If you are nervous about giving your fiancee your financial data, you can send it directly to the consulate or embassy with a cover letter noting the NVC case number, NOT the USCIS petition number, do this after the NVC sends the case to the consulate.

Ah, ok...I was just wondering where to send it. We hope to receive the NOA2 within the next month, month and a half. According to the instructions I need to get a letter form the Bank? I make well over the poverty level, but my bank account doesnt have alot of money in it. I am fresh out of school and just starting a Job that pays me twice the poverty level. Monster student loans, and some other bills keep this acct low.... :-( Lets not forget the trips to Venezuela

I am worried about my acct balance

The directions with I-134 are very old USCIS just publishes the form for the consulates and USCIS dose not use the form for anything so they have not kept the directions updated to what the consulates request. The consulates treat the form like a MINI-I-864 and prefer the same financial evidence requested on that form. Bank letter is only needed if your income is below 125% poverty line, the bank account can be counted as an asset.

In our case this what the I-134 included.

  • I-134 signed and notarized.
  • Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS
  • Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years
  • Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.
  • Photo copies of past 6 months pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.

My income was well above 125% povertyline so I did not include any asset data.
