Since those Vermont people have their own thread going and it appears California filers were left out in the cold, I started this little home for us

I know the long and difficult process has only just began and none of us are likely to see any action until November, but at least we can vent our frustrations here :)

Welcome!

You definately got your app before I did! I can't handle this waiting though... Did you receive an email telling you that they received your paperwork? Should I stop obsessing about what isn't in my email and start checking my post office box instead?

Our VisaJourney started July 2009 when I mailed the 129-F

Fiance here February 2010, married 10 days later

GC received in the mail 10-Jun-2010

Able to apply to remove conditions 12-Feb-2012

My check cleared today! I looked on the back and saw a bunch of numbers so I was able to login and set my case up to receive emails. I believe since the last update is today and the check cleared today I can consider this my NOA1 date!

WOOHOO!! One step closer. I hope the process goes quickly and smoothly for all of us.

cheque cleared!! now the dreaded 3 month wait!!! :-(

I can live with 3 months to NOA2, its the ones that seem to collect dust for 6+ months that I worry about. We are so desperate to begin our life together... as someone else posted on another thread, the process is a bit sadistic for couples in love. But what can we do; support each other and know in the end we'll be together.

yes i hate the thought of that too! We've already had an initial 6 month wait since my fiancee had to apply for naturalisation so that we could do the K1 application... but yes your right.. just have to think it will all be worth it in the end.

It seems like the process is getting faster each month so hopefully we'll all go through smoothly....

Are there only 5 of us so far? I am wanting to start a conversation. Maybe everyone can post the next expected time to see their sweetie and which methods of contact they are using?

I am jumping on a plane the evening of August 20th for my first visit to the UK. I am staying in London two nights to recover from jetlag and be a tourist before I catch another plane to Edinburgh. Any tips of fighting jetlag? I only have one experience with going to Europe and my experience during the first few days was horrible. :(

We do not get to talk on the phone very often because we are watching the cash very closely. We use MSN chat and video only, but I wish I could talk on the phone more often. Maybe I should look into phone cards since my calling plan charges .69 USD a minute.

I am really hoping to have him here permanently by New Year's Eve. I know it's not probable, but it's still a possibility. We have a date set for January but know we might have to change it.

i'm hoping to go over towards the end of sept but not sure yet... I either use skype which is cheap to call the US (something like 1p/min) or when Sarah is home we'll call skype to skype via web cams. Its the best we can do and free like msn etc.

was hoping to be there myself for christmas.. for some reason im pretty hopeful.. just a feeling.

as far as jet lag its always worse coming east (for me anyway). I guess it depends on the arrival time in the UK but I usually sleep well on the plane over and arrive around midday UK time. other than that im always too excited to be tired!

we have the wedding booked in florida on 23rd April so im hoping that should be ok!
