Do any of you have problems cooking in the states, since their beans there come in cans? Can u find the ingredients there to cook like u used to cook here in Brazil, or did you just adopt the american diet?

I'm away right now and all my favorites are on my home computer.. but if you do a google search you can find all the brazilian foods you can imagine available to order on the internet.

When i get home i'll post some links. You can order everyone from tio joao rice to yoki stuff.

Check out brazilexplore.com

There's a bunch of other online stores where you can order just about anything.

You can easily find any kind of beans (including Black beans) dried (just like in Brasil) at any grocery store.

I ordered some stuff online (Guarana is not expensive at all) and the prices are very good...

But, I had problems to find the right sausages for the feijoada: paio, carne seca e linguica... But theres a brazilian factory in NJ (I guess) that makes it and send to all the 50 states in the US... I didnt order yet and the prices are not that bad (of course we are not going to have feijoada every sunday) and Im looking to order soon...

Here are some links:

http://www.kidelicia.com (this is the link for the sausages...)

http://www.sendexnet.com/content/v1/body.php (I ordered the stuff from this one)

http://www.bevmo.com/productinfo.asp?area=...k=All&D=cachaca (Bring alot of pinga, because here is very expensive!!!)

http://www.shopping-brazil.com/pt/default.asp

You can also find fresh kale (couve-manteiga) at any grocery!

If you are going to live in the East coast, you will find easily lots of Brazilians stores...

Good luck!

I'm going to live in Kansas, not many brazilians there, that's why i was so worried about finding the type of food i'm used to eat in Brazil, like leite condensado to make brigadeiro for example :P

Dont worry about Leite condensado... Every grocery has it... Most with the Latin/Mexican stuff...

I think I´ll have an easier time in Puerto Rico, as their cooking is rather similar to ours, so I hope I´ll find the stuff I need. :)

Only one thing can´t be done. Churrasco, no matter what, it will be expensive. :P

I hear they're opening a Porcão in New York, and there's one in Miami. Best damn churrascaria of Rio, they also have restaurants in France and England, I think. Pretty good, huh?
