hey everybody

I am pretty new to this site. But it`s really great!!!

I worry, since i am waiting for NOA 2 and my baby might be deployed(he will be on standby starting sept.

Does anybody know if there would be any way of speeding things up?

I know that there are people who filed before me and still waiting, but the whole sloooow proces is absolutelly retarded.I think We all should sue USCIS for personal distress.Hell, everybody sues everybody on daily bases for every little ###### .

I will be gratefull for any word of wisdom!

Yes, there is something you can do. Have his commander write a letter that he may be delployed in September. Send a copy of the letter along with a copy of NOA1 and a request for expedite to your service center. Once you have NOA2, send a copy of the letter and NOA2 to the NVC requesting an expedite. Once the NVC assigns a case number and forwards your petition to the consulate, send a copy of the commander's letter and a copy of the NVC letter with the consulate case number to the consulate requesting expedite. Military deployment is one of the things for which they will expedite petitions.

Hey thanks a lot .I am going to forward this to my sweetie since we didnt have any luck with JAG and senator .How do you know that commander is going to influence NVC?

It's not the commander that will influence the NVC, its the pending deployment. The letter is needed to verify the pending deployment.

But how do you know for sure???

How do you know what for sure?

Are you asking how you'll know for sure he'll be deployed? You don't. The letter from the commander should state that he will be on standby for deployment and that there is a chance that he will be deployed beginning in September.

Will that be enough to expedite your case? Probably.

I meant how You know for sure that the letter is going to do any good

You don't... and you will never know if you don't try.

I faxed a letter to the consulate in Manila when a medical situation came up to see if they would expedite our interview. I had no idea if they would entertain it. Within 24 hours of faxing the letter, I had an interview date that was approx. 2 months ahead of the current consulate schedule.

Even if he is deployed, that really shouldn't mess anything up with your case. (The Air Force is real "helpful" when it comes to things like getting paperwork in order for the K-1 process.)

Have him get all his I-134 and other "financial support" information to you ASAP, then that's pretty much all he'll have to do anyway. Barring any kind of RFE or anything that he would actually have to accomplish, once he's sent in the K-1 packet, he's pretty much out of the loop. (Provided that he's sent you the financial support info.)

I think, the idea with the letter from his commander is a very good idea.

You should at least try.

Once you get your NOA2, things will speed up a little anyway..and once it's in Germany, you might get an Interview appointment in no time. Make sure, you have all your paperwork straight for the K-1 process in Germany and things might go really fast for you.

Look at my timeline, I had my visa in less than two months after the NVC had it...

Good luck, contact me if you need help with the process in Germany, you going through Frankfurt too?
