My Abby and MMW were near each other in the (City State Tower) during their interviews early this month, look at the bottom of this page for links to hotels nearby so you can compare. Her price was PHP 1500. ($30.00) per night for the standard room.

The actual hotels website is here:

don't go to miramar. although it's just across the embassy, it's too expensive for one night. and the rooms don't "feel" clean.

ROC mailed to USCIS -- June 10, 2011

ROC approved -- November 1, 2011

finally free of USCIS paperwork!

I stayed at Diamond Hotel for my medical last April 7th. It's along Roxas Blvd and just 4 blocks away from the embassy. You'd see the embassy from your hotel window if you have the bayview.

This is their website. http://www.diamondhotel.com/acc-executive.htm

The price is not that cheap in my standards but their room was clean and neat and just like the picture you see in their website. I was even comfortable letting my toddler walked around the room barefoot. It's a bit rundown hotel but they've kept it well. Their bathroom was spotless. People were nice (though breakfast has less choices). Internet's fast! I even played finalfantasyXI with my husband while we're there while skyping. I strongly recommend this hotel. I'll be staying there again come my interview date.

Tip if you want a cheap rate: have your fiancee booked it under her name. There's a thousand pesos difference if a local booked the room. Plus internet will be free if it's a local staying in the room. Just let your fiance call the hotel for reservation. No need of credit/debit card to reserve the room. Once reserved, they will keep it for you until 4PM of that day.

Diamond hotel should give me 50% off for posting this. :D

I recommend Baywatch Tower. We stay there for a week and the place is really good. It's just 5 minute walk to the US Embassy. For $59(Studio Type) or $69 (With one Bedroom) per night the price is really resonable. Every room has its own kitchen with complete stuff. You can cook your own food much cheaper than eating everyday on a restaurant. They have daily cleaning service and you can ask their maids to do shopping or cooking for you. They also have swimming pool, Sauna and Gym were you can relax on yoru free time. You can check their website www.baywatchtower.comundefined

Hope you find the best place for you....Good luck :)

If you are going to be in Manila for a while, don't limit yourself to staying around the Embassy. The Embassy isn't in the best part of town.

I stayed in Makati, woke up early, got a taxi to the Embassy - very easy! Staying in Makati puts you in the nice part of town, stay there the whole time.... no sense in staying near the Embassy and no sense in packing your bags just to stay near the Embassy on the night before the interview. Taxis are cheap, getting to the Embassy in the morning will cost you 3 to 4 dollars from Makati and it will take around 20 to 25 minutes in the early morning hours.

Makati is the expensive part of town, but there are still hotels that don't cost so much.

I like the Royal Bellagio which is on P. Burgos Street which is also where you'll see lots of bar girls going to and leaving work. The Royal Bellagio has a coffee shop in front where you can sit for the show - it is an interesting scene - my fiancee never saw anything like it so she loved sitting and watching (it is like an endless parade). I highly recommend it.

We also enjoyed walking to Greenbelt/Glorieta daily. It isn't a short walk or a long walk really - I especially enjoy walking off my lunch or whatever. There is nice outdoor area at the Greenbelt where you can drink your Starbucks (ask where the outdoor/pavilion church is located).

If you don't stay in Makati, the Executive Plaza is nice (no executive pricing) and it is near the Embassy.

Life..... Nobody gets out alive.

I recommend Manila Hotel. Rooms are very clean and the staff are very friendly, too! Superior Room at US$110 net with buffet breakfast for single/twin occupancy. I/we stayed there a lot before and everytime we went home to PI.

Bayview Park, across the street from USE. You should be able to get room for under $70, a suite for this price if you shop the Internet. No hassles, no worries if you have your interview, grab a Starbucks and get in-line at the Embassy. It is acceptable and breakfast buffet for two is usually included. Is it in the best area, no, homeless in the park right south of there, but I stayed in Makati in didn't find it the best either, especially for walking anywhere, and the traffic, don't get me started, but Greenbelt is a nice area, except for the construction problem. Pasay City, didn’t think that area was perfect either, too many KTVs and Gentlemen Clubs. The truly fine hotels in Manila are on the far side of $100, the Shangri-La, the Mandarin Oriental, Hotel Peninsula Manila, Oakwood Ayala, etc..

Does the Fort Bonifacio area have any new hotels?
