You can do it, but I would be cautious. Even if you book a direct flight, consider the implications if the flight was to get diverted for any reason to another country (more of an issue in the Caribbean).

So ok.. I posted the wrong ISLAND... but what I posted did in fact state British VIRGIN Island info... . sooo . pshhaaa.. my bad... .. the last comment you posted I think was not necessary... ..

still ... here you go..... if your gonna flame... flame away...

U.S. Virgin Islands Entry Requirements

U.S. and Canadian citizens need only proof of citizenship and a photo ID to enter the country. All other visitors, including those from the Caribbean should follow the same procedures as if they were visiting the U.S. mainland.

The U.S. Virgin Islands is an unincorporated territory with a non-voting Delegate to the United States House of Representatives.

All persons born on the islands are citizens of the United States and are governed by U.S. law.

You can get married in the U.S. Virgin Islands as easily as you can back home and in one of the world’s most romantic settings. When it comes to wedding locations, Travel America calls a Virgin Islands wedding “a nuptial fantasy that will last a lifetime.” "http://www.usvi.org/tourism/factsheet/advantage.html"
