January Filers - Makin' It To The NVC

So, I just got my NOA2, not expecting to make it to NVC for a few weeks. But since we all LOVE the numbers, I thought maybe we could keep tabs on January filers who've made it to the NVC and how long it took to get there? And keep track as more of us get there after last week's CSC funrun on NOA2s?

Any takers? I know I've seen some Jan NOA2s get there already . . .

Would it make more sense to resort the data and say May NOA2 receivers instead of Jan NOA1 receivers?

You read my mind!! Count me in! Hopefully that big stack of approved NOA2's from May 3rd was/will be all shipped out at once ASAP!! I bet they don't want a HUGE stack sitting around the USCIS for weeks!!??

P.S. - I am scared of the NVC Forum...I don't know what they're talking about over there! LOL! Fees & stuff? I guess it has to do with other types of petitions....?

My NOA2 was dated April 12th, and the NVC got my file on Friday, May 4th. It's taking a little over 3 weeks. I was trying not to panic, but still calling every day. Also, the automated system won't have your case, so make sure you get a live person when calling.

I remember it taking just a few days for them to mail it to NVC before this slow-down happened in April...hopefully things will get back to normal now!!?? :sleepy:

That's the part I can't figure out. I called NVC exactly a week after NOA2 and they had already sent it to London the previous day. Now its taking 3 weeks just to get there? Something has definitely changed.

 CR1/IR1s.

I know, it spazzed me out too - all that bizness about shortcuts and James and whatever. But if you look at most people's info - they are all CR1 types that deal more directly with NVC. They're more of a clearinghouse for our purposes, right?

So don't go in that forum and freak out unduly!

Here's something that may be helpful, may be not...

When I first called, after giving out my USCIS number, the operator didn't have me at all, so that was a quick phone call.

The second time I called, I got the whole "what's the name of the petitioner, when's his birthdate" etc, so that was a big clue that they did finally have it and they were just double-checking that I was calling about who I claimed to be calling about. I had good luck calling after 6:30 PT.

On what dates did you first and then again call NVC, psho?

Just because I'm bored . . . .

I decided to sit on hold and call NVC to ask if they new what was up with any delays. Of course they didn't. They say 2-4 weeks and "but it can take up to 90 days" - to which I said "let's just not go there." Pleasant enough people, but no answers - not that I'm surprised.

So I decided to call USCIS to ask what's up. They don't know. Well, the info line doesn't know because they don't mail them out, the service centers do (I know, I know, it gave me a chuckle too). The operator offered no advice on getting better insight into the time table.

So there you have it - absolutely no new information! Doesn't everyone feel better now?!
