Hey VJ members, Perhaps someone can help me with these thoughts about the DS156 form filled out in country where beneficiary resides. There are some questions on that form that kind of sound tricky, granted the DS156 foirm is used by all other non-immigrant applicants. Still i wonder the best way to answere some of the following questions for a KI beneficiary...

q26......How long will you be in the US?

q27......What is the purpose of your trip?

q32.....Do you intend to work in the US?...If yes give name and address of employer

q33....Do you intend to school in the US?...If yes give the name and complete address of school.

A different question for any here who may have adopted child (children) of fiance/ee.. At what point in the process is it better to do so especially when there is the issue of changing names to ensure all members of the family bear similar names. Also this question comes to mind in terms of at what point would it be crucial to do this before documents like green card, ssn, ead etc are sent out bearing former names. I guess the point raised here may also apply to fiancees who may wish to drop their maiden names for spouse`s family name.

Would appreciate comment sfrom all who have some experience/info about these.

Thanks

masterpiece,

The best way to answer is to write down what your intentions are, and when things are unknown say as much. The questions are not trick questions - as you recognize their significance will be different depending on the type of visa being applied for.

Hopefully your intentions are consistent with the purpose of a K1 visa.
