important question regarding AOS

I posted the other day that my wife is now pregnant. We finally got hold of our marriage certificates, (we got 3 copies) We got married on Feb 2nd. The I-94 expires on April 13th. This is no longer important since we're married but I just wanted to say it anyway. I'm using my tax return to pay the AOS fees but we weren't planning to have a baby this soon. So should I still pay the work permit paid to DHS? Or just pay the Advanced Parole fee?

She can't work because it takes a while to get that permision and secondly, when and if she gets it, she'll probably can't work because of her pregnancy will be a bit more advanced. She's 6 weeks now.

What should I do? Go ahead and pay the full $1,010 fee or just for the Advance Parole fee? Because we would love to visit our families back in Mexico so that she can visit her parents and watch her youngest daughter with a big belly! lol

03/30/09 Responded to RFE next day air to Lee's Summit, MO.

04/25/09 AP and EAD card arrives

07/10/09 Interview letter arrives for 8/19/09

08/09/09 AP letter used to re-enter the U.S.

08/19/09 Interview completed. Results in two weeks. ( I think we got it)

08/24/09 Letter in the mail stating Interview Approved. Welcome to the United States!

The fee of $1010.00 is for doing AOS .... the EAD and the AP are free, so it will cost $1010.00 whether you apply for the EAD and AP or dont... You cant apply for AP on its own you have to apply for AOS to be able to get AP and EAD

kezzie is right! the fee for filing I485 is $1010, you cant make it less! the price includes the fee for ead and ap, but you dont have to file for those if you dont want to.

Ahhh I see what you mean now. Those can become tricky to understand sometimes. I guess they make it that way to make people struggle more but we have VJ =) for that!
