DS-230, parts 1 and 2. When do we use Part 2?

But when do we use DS-230 PART ?

Do we send with Packet 3 or take to interview?

Complete both parts (I & II) at the same time - if returning with Packet 3, send both portions - the only thing you do not do/complete is Section 35 (and the signature) - these must be completed in front of the officer.

It's best to follow the instruction from the Consulate, which are to return part 1 only. You can fill out part 2 and take it to the interview if you want. Instructions rule.

I have read the instructions over and over. But I did not see mention of DS-230 Part 2.

If I understand correctly, we are only to send Completed and signed DS-230 Part 1 and the Checklist (form 169). and nothing else.

Everything else she will take to the interview?

hi, i sent in part I like requested, and completely forgot about part 2 afterwards. It didn't tell me to bring it to the interview and i was not asked for it. The immigrant visas require part 2, my gut is that it will be needed when filling out an AOS, but i am 99% sure it is not needed for a k1 visa. As a precaution, a good bet is to take one along, but at the embassy in london there were computer where forms could be filled in incase anyone didn't have any forms.
