Jamaica Medical & Photo Clarification Needed

Just would like to clarify and hear experiences from those who've been through the interview process. Any advice/guidance is appreciated.

For the medical, I read that the medical needs to be scheduled at least 3 weeks in advance of the interview, yet it seems there's been timelines where this wasn't possible. At what point can/should we schedule the medical and how long does it take to get an appointment?

As of photos, I could've swore I read somewhere that there were 4 needed for the medical and 2 for the interview. Now I've recently read it's 4 for each. First question.. how many do we really need? We have 6, do all 8 have to match, meaning we need 8 new ones? Will it matter that they will be different photos from his police cert and application?

Sorry to bother with this detail, but I've seen conflicting information on different sites and think those who have experienced it are the best source. Thanks!

Sam

Schedule the medical as soon as you get your interview date. E-mail the embassy or call the NVC 202 # until you get an answer. (Of course first you need to have the DS-230 submitted to the embassy.) Once the DS-230 has been processed, you should get your interview date at that point.

For photos, it doesn't matter if they're all the same, just make sure that the ones you submit to any one agency are matching. It can be different ones for the police report than what you submit to the embassy as long as each set matches (hope that makes sense). I can't remember now if it's 6 or 8 needed but better to be safe & have more than needed than not enough. Also, you'll need 6-8 more for the AOS process so you might want to get several more printed at the same time or just plan to do it again.

My2 is right....come on over to the Yardie thread if you have any more questions & we'll be happy to answer them!

(I just realized your going through the CR1 process which is somewhat different in steps from the K1 process so what I've stated here may not be accurate to your case type. But again, come on over & ask the yardies who have gone that route & I'm sure someone can answer the question about the medical exam process for your type of visa.)

The medical needs to be schedule at least 7 to 10 days before the interview you will need 4 pics for the Medical and 6 for the Interview. Im not sure if they all need to match. My fiance went to Mobay Hope and there was no problem getting an appointment.
