I don't think I've ever been so exhausted from stress in my entire life!

This morning Steve left for the consulate just before I left for work. He was at a hotel 10 minutes away so it wasn't too far to go.

I myself endured an hour and 1/2 drive in to work. I kinda sorta thought that by the time I got into work and got everything started he probably would already have the outcome. I drove into work in a fog, so stressed and worried that something might go wrong, and wishing I could just stay home and curl up under a blanket until I knew what happened. I tend to isolate when I'm stressed.

As the morning at work wore on with no word, my stress levels increased exponentially. By 11:00 this morning (by then 12 in Montreal) I had finally come to the conclusion that he must have been denied and didn't want to break the news to me while I was at work and so far from home.

At 11:18 my phone rang. Heart in my throat I answered it and they told me he was on the line and transfered the call to me. As he described how things went I was scared to even ask what the outcome was, he told me he had to go back out because he only brought canadian money with him not US, and that he had lost one of his forms and they had to supply him with a new copy....all the while I'm listening I could barely breath.

And then he says ....well the long and short of it is....

"Get the KY and nighties ready I'll be coming home!"

When I envisioned the moment I got the news he was approved, I had imagined happy tears of joy, dancing about giggling and happy. Instead, by the time I got the news I was so exhausted and stressed that I didn't have the energy to do more than quietly say "cool I'm so glad we got through this". Once off the phone, I put my head down for a minute and closed my eyes, then set my status to on break and wandered off alone outside to let it all sink in.

I've recovered a bit by now, and I just gotta say

OMG W00 H00 YES YES YES YES YES WE MADE IT OMG HE'S COMING HOME FOR GOOD AND WE CAN FINALLY REALLY START OUR LIVES TOGETHER LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE!!!! YES!!

Isn't this great, I can do all that dancing without expelling much energy at all :)

Oh no matter what I could find something to worry about, if nothing else, "maybe they wouldn't like his piercings and deny him for that or something" Oh god I worried about every tiny thing :)

I can finally breath now :)

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.
