NVC seems to be backed up lately with replying to emails. If this is the case, which way- Email or Mail it (Next Day Delivery)- is the best way right now? A few weeks ago, most of our VJ'ers were successful in getting a response from them within 2 days, lately, it's taking at least 7-10 days for them to reply...

Any thoughts will be breatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The whole point of e-mailing the NVC regarding the Choice of Agent is to save about 2-3 weeks in the process. If you see that it is taking people about the same amount of time to get their choice of agent approved via e-mail, might as well use the printed form they send you.

This also depends on where the choice of agent lives; if it's outside the US, then it will take longer if you choose regular mail.

Hello Diana! I knew you will be the one that will answer me first! :D Thanks...

I already have a printed DS3032 with my hubby's signature on it and the generated barcode. I am just waiting for the system to say that it has been generated and sent. It's just a matter of choice right now, but by reading several posts regarding emailing NVC for the DS3032, Choice of Agent..now, it makes me think if it is still the best route. Geesh, NVC is backed up. I sent them a 'trial note' via email just following up on the case (since I waitied 3 weeks for them to get my I-130 application from USCIS to NVC), and still no reply from them.

Oh please girl, then mail it for sure. Most of us chose the e-mail route because we didn't have the AOS signed by the beneficiary. You're all set, as soon as they say it has been generated you can mail it overnight if you want to speed things up.

That's what I thought...Funny, I was going to PM you, but thought of it as beneficial for the rest of the VJers...

Thanks again Diana! You are a lifesaver...

RandyandRina,

It looks like we are on the same timeline at the NVC. Congrats on getting your case moved over! We emailed our Choice of Agent form, but have not yet gotten a confirmation from the NVC. So it does seem like the fastest way now is to overnight a pre-made letter once you get your case number.

I'm rather curious about that myself. If you actually sent them before the NVC generated them it's very possible they will sent them back to you as they will have no record of 'm.

I hope everything will be okay.

It kinda made me wonder too about that... I had to read JSC NVC over and over again to make sure that I remember reading it that it did say that AFTER 2 weeks the DS3032 and AOS Fee Bill will be generated about 2 weeks from generating the Case#. :reading:

I think if the DS-3032 and AOS were sent before the NVC said they had been generated, they won't do anything with it at all. They will just dismiss it and pretend nothing was received since they probably don't have any record of the case yet. It's best to call again and make sure things were generated before sending them anything.

I realized I did send in everything too early. My DS-3032 and AoS bill have not been generated. Drat! I was just so excited that we got a case number and didn't properly read James's shortcuts that I sent everything in the day I heard we got a case number. I hope that they don't lose the AoS bill, a $70 money order down the drain! Since they don't check/respond to emails until 10-14 days after receipt, maybe the Choice of Agent form will be timed well enough. {sigh}

Has anyone else been this stupid?

Lately it is definitely better to use mail overnight, do not e-mail!

I e-mailed my Choice of Agent and I am waiting to hear from NVC for 13 days already!

I repeated my e-mail again yesterday... nothing

Sorry to hear that Rika. tsk tsk tsk...

Wow... It's really that bad with the response time with email inquiries?? I was a victim myself, still no reply from them. Glad I sent that 'trial email' to see how fast they can get to answer my inquiry via email...

I hope this message gets to most of the VJ'ers.

Get those DS3023 filled-out, and have the beneficiary send them back to you ASAP.

It seems like the mistake I had made in emailing the Choice of Agent after our NVC case number was generated (instead of waiting like I SHOULD HAVE until the Choice of Agent form was generated) had paid off, the NVC accepted our Choice of Agent on 8/7/07-only one day after the form was generated. I do NOT recommend that folks start emailing the NVC early, like we did, because I wouldn't want to anger the NVC folks by jamming their email system.

Just thought I would share.

:) Lady Jane
