Case complete on Tuesday and no word about interview yet. Didn't even get a case complete email so the waiting continues. Everytime I feel like we are getting somewhere, it is just another round of waiting. I see Frank who got CC same day as us already has his interview date. Trust Guyana to be behind in everything. Beyond frustrated. I see our first wedding anniversary approaching fast and at this pace, we won't be together for it. Just sucks, man.

Here in Guyana it is actually recommended your spouse accompany you to the interview. Guess it has something to do with Latin America and the Caribbean.

Well, it looks like I didn't get cc yesterday. Hopefully Monday.

Just curious if tried giving them a call and veridying or if you didn't see the 3rd N/A? Reason I ask, because I know a couple of 22nd and 23rd's that called and were told that CC. The 3rd N/A didn't show.

If you keep the momentum you built during your speedy USCIS stage it would not surprise me you get CC around February 4th.

I have not calculated Kenya's average from CC to interview but you can calculate it yourself.

I have a concern that has most likely been answered before but I'd HATE to get checklisted for it...so here goes.

A fellow member on a Facebook page that I'm on posted this a few days ago to help clarify an issue that some1 had:

How to determine household size?

Your household size must include the following persons:

◾Yourself;
◾Your spouse; ( or fiancée)
◾Any dependent children under the age of 21;
◾Any other dependent listed on your most recent Federal tax return;
◾Any persons being sponsored by this petition;
◾Any persons you previously sponsored and must still support;

For example, if you and your spouse have two children, and you are filing immigrant petitions for your parents, your household size would be six (6).

So I replied :

I believe my husband put household size as 3 as it's his parents and him living in the house...he doesn't work so my father inlaw filled an i864 as well putting the same info...do you think we'll get checklisted for it? If so...I hope they allow us to rectify it at the interview.

He replied: i think you will get a check list.

1, your husband files the I-864 no matter what
2. father is household member she he files I-864A
3. mother files I-864A
4. household size would be 4, (you, your husband , mother, father.)

Here's my question....Why would my mother-inlaw have to fill a form? She is not employed so the household size indicated would be 3 (my husband, my father-inlaw, myself). Am I wrong and will we be checklisted for this by NVC?

Seems as though, every step you learn something new, it's cuz there's something that was done wrong when you filed initially....

just to try to answer your question, I am no an expert, it is not my situation.

This is my understanding:

1, your husband files the I-864 no matter what . YES

2. father is household member she he files I-864A YES

3. mother files I-864A (YES Only if your father-in law's income is combined with hers to meet 125% of poverty level for 4 dependents). Otherwise NO.

4. household size would be 4, (you, your husband , mother, father.) YES

Does NVC inform us through email or something that they've received our documents?
