Abandoned AOS and now regret it
Please be nice, I know I made a mistake... But got my K1 approved and arrived in the US June 25, 2024 and applied for AOS February 25, 2025 -- then left the US (abandoned my AOS). Will I be banned for re-entry to the US -- even under a spouse visa?

US Citizen with Foreign Fiancé: When and How to Get Married?
I'm currently living and working in the United States. My fiancé currently lives in Japan. We have been dating for about 6 months, and we have met in person several times, but we are not yet married.
My fiancé will be visiting me in the United States on a tourist visa some time in March or April and staying for about 3 months. I want to file for a fiance/spouse visa asap -- what's next?

N400: Admitted to Weed during Green Card (was it a crime I was not arrested for?)
To start, marijuana is illegal in my country of origin. When I was applying for my green card I admitted to trying marijuana when I was in my 20's (I'm 49 now). I got my green card and have lived in the US for 5 years. I'm in the process of applying for citizenship. What answer should I give to the question: "Have you EVER committed, agreed to commit, asked someone else to commit, helped commit, or tried to commit a crime or offense for which you were NOT arrested? Yes or No" given that I admitted to past marijuana use during the GC process?

Fiancée threatened with deportation by customs agent after arriving at airport for false accusations. How concerned should we be?
Firstly, I want to get some things clear because I know everyone will say this otherwise:
We are seeing an immigration attorney for consultation soon. We've already printed out several documents to prove that my fiancée is not coming here with the intent to live here for the future until they get the K-1 Visa... Now, Heres the actual story...

Fiance or Marriage Visa in 2025 ? Pros and cons?
    I'm 23F 🇨🇿, my partner is 29M 🇺🇲
We want to get our visa going sometime this year and want to be together as soon as possible but we are still unsure which visa would serve us better. I'd like to get married in my home country but on the other side i wouldn't mind getting married paperwise in the US and waiting for my work permit and etc if it would allow us to be together faster and then save up for and have our dream wedding in my home country.

What do you think ? All of this is so overwhelming and confusing and we just want to do the right thing.

I asked the same question on reddit, so many people recommended me to go with fiance visa, two suggested marriage visa. I need more input and advice  from experienced people. Thank you
Ps: is it possible to have dual citizenship so i don't lose one from my home country? How does that work ?

After seeing my i-130 approval notice, it turned out i need to file another form which is i-824. I filed it around 3 weeks after my i-130 approval due to confusion and it was delivered 5 days ago. How long should i wait to receive the receipt number? I've seen some people got approved in like 2-3 months and some got approved in 4 months, though the processing time in the USCIS website is way longer. I discovered that i-824 has a lot of purposes and each has different processing time. From what i know, the one to request "USCIS to send my approved immigration visa petition to the NVC" takes shorter time. For people with the same case as as mine, how long did it take for your i-824 to be approved?

    Disaster in Myanmar, visa worries

Recently there was a large and disastrous earthquake in Myanmar and the government has declared a state of emergency. The embassy in Rangoon has announced they will stop all non emergency operations, including visa processing with no indication of when they may return to processing. My wife dropped off her passport to them on 3/21/25, we received verbal approval at the interview and were told it should take around 7 days to process and the earthquake occurred on 3/28/25, around 5 business days after we had turned the passport in. I assume that despite our case being approved for an expedite on the grounds of urgent medical need that we will still not be processed during this time. With the current uncertainty surrounding potential future bans on immigration from Myanmar, I am incredibly worried about this delaying our processing well past any potential future ban being announced. Is there anything I can do to help my wife's IR1 here? I have contacted my representative to reach out to the consulate and embassy itself, having also done so myself. Welcoming any advice or support.

Pertaining to 'have you ever been detained' Question. What is the definition of 'detained'? We were traveling back from visiting family, my husband was in the midst of getting his conditions lifted from his green card and we were traveling with his extension letter. At our first port of entry back in the USA the immigration officer pulled him aside to verify the letter. I was in the hall waiting - he was in the office. They asked him a few questions and sent him on his way.

The question reads in section 9. 15b. Have you EVER been arrested, cited, detained or confined by any law enforcement officer, military offical (in the us or elsewhere) or immigration offical for any reason, or been charged with a crime or offense?

Does our situation match the definition of 'detained' or 'confined'? We didn't get any type of receipt so I wasn't sure how to answer any of the boxes provided for more information. No crime was committed - they pulled him aside to verify his extension letter.

We need to re-schedule our Bio and IV. Are there still "no slots available" showing on the website?
