Hello everyone! I just want to share my experience and maybe get some advice or help others who might face the same issue.

I m currently applying for an IR1 visa, and I ve already completed my biometrics and medical. My interview was originally scheduled for November 3, but during the pre-screening, the consular staff noticed a discrepancy in my documents.

Apparently, my father s middle name on my birth certificate is misspelled it has an extra g (written as Calungsag). I honestly didn t notice it before. All my other documents (marriage certificate, report of marriage, and advisory on marriage) showed the correct spelling, Calunsag.

Because of this, the consular officer gave me a yellow form with the note:

Father s middle name sa per BC.

She told me that my AOM should match what s written on my birth certificate, even if it s a typo. So my interview was rescheduled while I fixed the issue.

But I still don't know what to do. Should I file for a petition for correction?

Is DCF in Frankfurt for military members still an option?

Recieved packet 4 today and hopped into usvisa-info site made and account got to the payment page and it's got the amount but no link anywhere to actually make the payment. That page also says there's no appointment dates right now and to check back. Do I have to have a date to pay? Or do I have to pay before I get a date? I'm so lost. I just want to give them money and I don't know how!

When my fianc arrived from Ghana, the CBP officer did not take his medical exam sealed envelope. During his medical exam he was not given any verification of his visit, like a vaccination record or copy of the chest x-ray and its results. He was told to provide the sealed envelope to CBP. In preparing our AOS packet, we are to provide either a copy of the DS-3025, medical receipt and cover letter OR form I-693. Should we simply mail the sealed envelope with our application OR open it to uncover its contents?
