Community SpotlightDV Lottery of K1 Visa - Can I file for both?
Petrisaint Mpaka posted a topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures,
I applied for the DV lottery 2025 and hope to be selected this year. My fiancé and I discovered that there is a fiancé visa for the USA. Do you think if we apply for the K1 visa but are selected for the DV lottery that we can stop the fiancé visa process? What are the timelines and options here :)?-

Confused about steps after marriage
SP1988 posted a topic in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas,
My fiancee arrived last month on K1 fiance visa and we got married yesterday. It seems from what I have seen online that I made a mistake by not getting SSN prior to marriage? I am going to the SSN office on Monday to gather more information... also worried about employment authorization and travel authorization(s). Thanks for any insights!-

Tourist visa cancelled by CBP agent. Can we still get a CR1 or K1 Visa?
yotajeeper posted a topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration,
Upon my gf's most recent arrival, her tourist visa was cancelled at the airport due to her frequent visits last year and suspicion of working here. She was denied entry and sent back same day. Is a CR1 or K1 visa process an option still? I would appreciate any advice or tips you can provide!-

1 RepliesHello. Is this a good place to ask people s experience with their interview after their 601 approval. At my first interview category IR1, I was given the blue paper and told I needed a 601 waiver. Three years later, I finally have an appointment to submit documents and what might be a second interview??? The lawyer that prepared my waiver is trying to collect a new fee to help prepare for the interview and update documents.
can anyone tell me their experience at Cd, Ju rez for this second interview?
From my first appointment, I m familiar with the medical exam, which has to be done at the exact same clinic as the first time, and the fingerprints. But I m
terrified of the interview. I ve been away from my entire life for three years, and can t even begin to imagine what would happen if I can t go home.
Thank you

3 RepliesHey guys!
I came here in June 2020 on a green card from Lebanon. I spent ~2 months in June 2020 - August 2020, then came again in December 2020 and spent ~1-2 months till Late January 2021. Afterwards, I came in June/July 2021, enrolled in college in the US, stayed till approx September October 2021 (college was online at the time), then went back to Lebanon. Did college online and then moved here to the US permanently in January 2022. Will I be eligible to apply for citizenship this summer? My physical presence has been more than 2.5 years but I'm worried they won't count that first year where I went back and forth as residency. I had to do college In Lebanon because it was too late to apply after I got my green card
I never stayed more than 180 days outside the country.

Question Regarding Online Marriage and Other Evidence 4:33 pm today
Turkey

2 RepliesHi All,
I am preparing to file my I-130 for my wife within the next day or two. We are currently residing in Istanbul, Turkey, and were married online with a Utah County online marriage. However, the marriage certificate says the following:
"I hereby certify that on the 22nd day of December in the year of two thousand twenty four in the city of Salt Lake City in said county of Salt Lake, I, the undersigned, a Reverend did join in matrimony according to the laws of the State of Utah [NAME] and [NAME]. The nature of the ceremony was according to Utah Law and was a present mutual agreement of marriage between parties."I believe this is because the reverend who performed the marriage lives in Salt Lake City. So, is it correct to write the location as Provo in Utah County, Salt Lake City where the officiant was, or Istanbul where we physically were at the time?
Another question - I have made my wife the sole beneficiary on my brokerage and checking accounts at my bank in the United States. However, the only evidence I have of this is a screenshot, as unfortunately I don't have access to any formal documents stating this. Is this okay to submit? Overall, the amount of evidence of us being financially intertwined is quite low, for reasons I mentioned in my last post. All I have to prove this is the aforementioned screenshot. Does anyone know of any last-minute moves can I make to strengthen this? I have tried applying for instant life insurance but was rejected because I live outside of the US.
My sincere thanks in advance for any responses!
