Community SpotlightDV Lottery of K1 Visa - Can I file for both?
Petrisaint Mpaka posted a topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures,
I applied for the DV lottery 2025 and hope to be selected this year. My fiancé and I discovered that there is a fiancé visa for the USA. Do you think if we apply for the K1 visa but are selected for the DV lottery that we can stop the fiancé visa process? What are the timelines and options here :)?-

Confused about steps after marriage
SP1988 posted a topic in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas,
My fiancee arrived last month on K1 fiance visa and we got married yesterday. It seems from what I have seen online that I made a mistake by not getting SSN prior to marriage? I am going to the SSN office on Monday to gather more information... also worried about employment authorization and travel authorization(s). Thanks for any insights!-

Tourist visa cancelled by CBP agent. Can we still get a CR1 or K1 Visa?
yotajeeper posted a topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration,
Upon my gf's most recent arrival, her tourist visa was cancelled at the airport due to her frequent visits last year and suspicion of working here. She was denied entry and sent back same day. Is a CR1 or K1 visa process an option still? I would appreciate any advice or tips you can provide!-

1 RepliesHey, I submitted last 3 years tax returns, but most recent years income is insufficient ($16,756) because I was staying with my husband for months during it but I'm now making $41,600 which will reflect on my 2024 tax return. We got DQ but also got a Case FE Review note saying "A consular officer will decide if you meet these requirements at the time of the interview." but I unfortunately do not have a joint sponsor.
2023 - $16,756
2022 - $28,506
2021 - $31,036Thank you all so much in advance.
[I-130/F31] Should I consider changing my Interview Location from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia? 1:55 pm today

2 RepliesVISA CLASS: F31
YOUR CASE IS CURRENTLY AT: NVC
FOREIGN STATE OF CHARGEABILITY: PAKISTAN
INTERVIEW LOCATION: ISLAMABAD
PRIORITY DATE: 2006_____________________________________________________
I've been living with my family in Saudi Arabia as an expatriate since ~2004 and have Iqama, School Fees, Rents/Bills, etc. to prove the fact.
Should I request NVC to move my Interview location from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia? Is it possible? Is it worth it or would it create more issues?
We are currently in the process of getting DQ (Form 1099, and W-2 left).
I've heard the wait for Islamabad, Pakistan is around 2 years long while the wait in Saudi Arabia is 1 year long but am concerned about the No. of Visas given in Saudi Arabia vs Pakistan and all other things like if I'm even applicable for shifting the location.
Any advice?

3 RepliesHi everyone
i I recently saw in another post that someone was able to get their interview scheduled after they submitted additional documents on the USCIS online platform in relation to their n-400 application. I understand that they added a document and the next day an interview was scheduled.
I submitted my application in June and the current status is actively reviewing. The estimate of time is now saying that your application is taking longer than expected.I was wondering if your application is flagged with USCIS officer if you submit further supporting documents (without RFE) and the schedule an interview because they see you are outside of their estimated processing time.
any thoughts on this would be appreciated!

1 RepliesHello friends,
I understand the wait time is estimated here: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ my question is if anyone has had their I-212 waiver processed within the past year or two and can share their timeline. Based on my research I've seen some people have it processed within 2 to 3 weeks and some people wait roughly 8 months. They give a wait time of 30 months which however I feel about it doesn't seem accurate. Our I-212 was filed because we didn't know immigration status after filing multiple FOIA requests that had no pertinent info, and only found out our status after getting our I-130 approved then denied a day later due to needing an I-212. It has been 7 months since filing the I-212 and I guess my hope is that we are a family immigration visa so our I-212 seems to be a prioritized waiver, we updated our medical as it expires after 6 months just in case and are ready to go pending approval. Maybe this will help someone else one day who goes through this as it seems like some form of punishment and can be extremely demoralizing in my experience. Thanks for contributing in advance.

1 RepliesHello,
When writing a foreign address on the I130 form, should the address be translated into English. For example, in Romanian, the address includes: building #, stairway #, floor #. Should those be left in the native language or translated into English?
Thanks!
