Community SpotlightDV Lottery of K1 Visa - Can I file for both?
Petrisaint Mpaka posted a topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures,
I applied for the DV lottery 2025 and hope to be selected this year. My fiancé and I discovered that there is a fiancé visa for the USA. Do you think if we apply for the K1 visa but are selected for the DV lottery that we can stop the fiancé visa process? What are the timelines and options here :)?-

Confused about steps after marriage
SP1988 posted a topic in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas,
My fiancee arrived last month on K1 fiance visa and we got married yesterday. It seems from what I have seen online that I made a mistake by not getting SSN prior to marriage? I am going to the SSN office on Monday to gather more information... also worried about employment authorization and travel authorization(s). Thanks for any insights!-

Tourist visa cancelled by CBP agent. Can we still get a CR1 or K1 Visa?
yotajeeper posted a topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration,
Upon my gf's most recent arrival, her tourist visa was cancelled at the airport due to her frequent visits last year and suspicion of working here. She was denied entry and sent back same day. Is a CR1 or K1 visa process an option still? I would appreciate any advice or tips you can provide!-

2 RepliesMy fiance (UK citizen) and I (US citizen) live together outside of the US and are considering getting married online, which would be registered in Utah. We would like to get married online for convenience purposes, and have no intent to move to the US. We are planning to visit my family in the US shortly after the online marriage, and I'm wondering if this could cause any issues. Would my then husband still be able to enter the US to visit on an ESTA visa waiver? He currently has ESTA approval from a previous visit to the US last year.
We have no plans to move to the US in the foreseeable future, but I'm wanting to make sure that an online marriage registered in Utah wouldn't cause us issues with short visits to the US on an ESTA visa waiver, and longer term, the possibility of applying for spouse visa in the future if we ever wanted to move to the US.

2 RepliesHi All,
I am currently in working to complete my application form I-485 after being married to my U.S citizen spouse. I am stuck, and I need help. Part 1, Q27 which say what is your current immigration status (if it had changed since your last arrival). I am wondering what to fill in this section since I am currently under an asylum status that is still pending, and not yet approved.
I need your help for those that have gone through this process of changing from pending asylum to adjusting through U.S citizen.

3 RepliesHello,
I have been a LPR for 7 years through marriage with a US citizen, and applied naturalization this year.
I have never held a 2 year (conditional GC?) green card I have received the 10 year one, as we had been married over 3 years by the time of my I-485 interview happened.
I didn t really think twice about filing a I-751 as I ve never held a 2 year GC I thought it was pretty obvious and straightforward, but I can t seem to find anything through searching. After seeing someone post their denial for not having filed I-751, I m a little scared!
It s a little late, but do I need it? should I file it now?
Thanks everyone for your valuable insights!

2 RepliesWife has her US Citizenship. We bought land in the Philippines for retirement hopefully by next summer. She tried to get an appointment at an outreach center and I uploaded everything they asked for. However the issue is although we filed the ROM in 2019, they said that was just a certified receipt that they received it, but we need to get a "certificate" from the PSA in order to continue. She already has a US passport with her married name AND renewed her Ph passport in her married name. $20 per copy and DHL is over $100 for delivery. I just wanted to be sure they are not going to just send us a copy of the copy that is was received and filed. Anyone?
