DV Lottery of K1 Visa - Can I file for both?

I applied for the DV lottery 2025 and hope to be selected this year. My fiancé and I discovered that there is a fiancé visa for the USA. Do you think if we apply for the K1 visa but are selected for the DV lottery that we can stop the fiancé visa process? What are the timelines and options here :)?-

Confused about steps after marriage

My fiancee arrived last month on K1 fiance visa and we got married yesterday. It seems from what I have seen online that I made a mistake by not getting SSN prior to marriage? I am going to the SSN office on Monday to gather more information... also worried about employment authorization and travel authorization(s). Thanks for any insights!-

Tourist visa cancelled by CBP agent. Can we still get a CR1 or K1 Visa?

Upon my gf's most recent arrival, her tourist visa was cancelled at the airport due to her frequent visits last year and suspicion of working here. She was denied entry and sent back same day. Is a CR1 or K1 visa process an option still? I would appreciate any advice or tips you can provide!-

3 RepliesHello VJ, I'm a USC and my spouse is a K-1 visa holder, currently awaiting AOS. We live in the state of Ohio. My job doesn't give healthcare benefits, but rather a payout to help us afford our own healthcare plans on the ACA marketplace. Unfortunately, there's been a bit of confusion in regards to whether or not my spouse would be eligible to get a joint plan with me. A new notice on the ACA marketplace seems to be say that K1 -> pending AOS recipients in certain states, Ohio being among them, are no longer eligible, due to not having an underlying approved immigrant visa (k-1 being nonimmigrant). OTHER portions of the site say that they are eligible.
We've tried to talk with those working at the Marketplace but they haven't been helpful and seem to be ill-informed on the matter.
Any other K-1 -> AOS filers run into this problem? Exact wording for who isn't eligible in certain states is:
- Adjustment to lawful permanent resident (LPR/Green Card holder) status without an approved immigrant visa petition

3 RepliesMy wife and myself, wish to visit my wife daughter (Russian) who lives with her American husband in Florida.
I am British and have been a number of times to US on a ESTA.
My wife is Russian Citizen, but living in Scotland in the UK with me for 3 years ( we are on the route to gain Citizenship for her in the UK, it takes 5 years)
I am looking for advice on what kind of VISA to apply for. ( maybe B1, but I am not sure) please can some one advise me

4 RepliesI entered usa on December 2023 with a cr1 Visa and I was told at the point of entry by immigration guy to file for roc on my cr1 one year after entry but I have been reading a lot online that I am supposed to remove the condition in 2025 instead of 2024 as was told. My card expires in December 2025.
Please I need help in the right step to follow. thank you for your help

After once week, we went by ARAMEX on a hunch. Lo and Behold, it is THERE.
What happened:
Interview on 29th of Nov.
Monday December 2nd, it said "ISSUED"
So we called Aramex. They said, "NOT HERE"
We sent email daily to
passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com for updates. Immediately response was, "Your passport is still with post".
Our intuition became so strong. By December 5th, I told him to GO there anyway and check. Husband travels from Ourazazate to Casablanca early that morning on the 6th of December.
As he was outside of Aramex, he called the number. They all said same thing, "Not here yet".... But when he walked in the door and showed his ID, they promptly found his passport with ir-1 visa and gave it to him without any apologies or hassles. Their reply was, "We get so many everyday, it's hard to track all of them".
Bottom line, he is COMING !

I came with K1 visa and entered the US then
I applied for my adjustment of status forms and got a new receipt number and online account number in the mail.
I created an online account number 2 years ago on USCIS when I was tracking my case before coming to the US.
My question is: Can I add a new case on my USCIS existing account that had been created 2 years ago with the new receipt number to track my current case and waiting for getting my green card?
