I filed an I-130 (IR-1/CR-1) for my spouse. My application was received/processed on January 21, 2026, and I received a NOA dated January 26, 2026. I'm looking for January 2026 filers (IR-1/CR-1) to help us in the immigration process. luckily, my spouse is with me in the United States while her asylum case is pending. I hired an attorney who will represent us during the immigration proceedings and throughout the process.
I've read a lot about the process and what to expect in the coming months and years.

Our income is less than 400% but I just want to pay full price to avoid headaches. If I say no though, I'd be lying and that's a huge no-no. What do I do? Is it ok if I skip this question completely?

I live in Chicago and have an India passport that will expire April 2026.

I am getting my passport re-issued through Tatkal services.

When I go to https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in website and completed all details and printed their application form.

On that form I see instructions "Paste your unsigned recent color photo 35 X 45 MM". The space on that form is also 35 x 45mm.

I was not able to find anyone (Walgreens or UPS) who takes photos of this 35 x 45mm size in USA.

If I look at Checklist from VFS, it says to paste regular 2inch X 2inch photo on Government application form (this conflicts with instructions from previous website).

SO I am very confused!

Anyone had a similar experience recently trying to re-issue new passport?

Anything you could do to guide me would be much appreciated.

I'm feeling sad and disappointed as we're currently waiting for our approval, I know it's not that bad but we've been waiting for 7 months now and all we got as an update was a "Name was updated" status change while seeing other people who filed after us get approved. I know we're within the normal range but I just.. I promised myself I won't ever look at it again and just let what happens happen.

I passed my N400 interview (based on 3-year rule) on January 28th in Portland, Oregon. I mentioned it to the officer that I will be moving out of state in the middle of February due to work and they told me to change my address once that happens. Today I received my oath ceremony for March 20th in Astoria, OR (not even Portland) and I am moving on February 15th to Pennsylvania.

I will be changing my address on that day. Do I need to call the number listed on the oath ceremony to reschedule the ceremony now or do I wait until I moved and changed my address? Can/should I fly back to do the oath ceremony in Oregon or do you have to be naturalized based on your current address?
