DV Lottery of K1 Visa - Can I file for both?
I applied for the DV lottery 2025 and hope to be selected this year. My fiancé and I discovered that there is a fiancé visa for the USA. Do you think if we apply for the K1 visa but are selected for the DV lottery that we can stop the fiancé visa process? What are the timelines and options here :)?

    Confused about steps after marriage
My fiancee arrived last month on K1 fiance visa and we got married yesterday. It seems from what I have seen online that I made a mistake by not getting SSN prior to marriage? I am going to the SSN office on Monday to gather more information... also worried about employment authorization and travel authorization(s). Thanks for any insights!

Tourist visa cancelled by CBP agent. Can we still get a CR1 or K1 Visa?
Upon my gf's most recent arrival, her tourist visa was cancelled at the airport due to her frequent visits last year and suspicion of working here. She was denied entry and sent back same day. Is a CR1 or K1 visa process an option still? I would appreciate any advice or tips you can provide!

Last Friday saw the end to my immigration journey as I took my oath and officially became a US citizen.

I just wanted to say thank you all for this forum and for the guidance that is available here. Your messages are seen by many more people than just those who post/comment and sharing your experiences provides valuable insight into a stressful process. To those in the midst of the process, just starting - or thinking about starting, hang in there. It's not a short journey by any means but the outcome is worth every minute of it.

I'm off to begin the next chapter of my life as an American. Until we meet again.

N-400 question: child and spousal support

Hi everyone, I am filling in my N-400 application based on 3-years marriage rule and have a question.

To the question how many children do you have? , I answered 0. I don t have any children of my own, and my husband s kids are all over 18years old.
But in the evidence section it still asks me to provide child and spousal support evidence.
We both were married before, but none of us is paying any spouse support.
    1. Should I just ignore this section? When I click next , I do get a yellow warning sign with if you do not provide evidence, your application processing may be delayed . It makes me nervous.

    2. Should I again attach our divorce documents? They are already attached in previous marriage evidence section.

My husband used to pay spouse support, but he is not obligated to this anymore for almost 4 years, before even we got married.

    thank you for any advices

RFE for I-864 (appears generic? no specific requirements listed)

Hi, I've been using VisaJourney since mid 2023 and never felt the need to make an account until now, due to how detailed and useful the information posted on here has been to us (my wife and me) so far.

We've received an RFE for the I-864 we sent in with the I-485 AOS packet. There are no specifics listed and my wife (who is the petitioner and sponsor) makes more than is required when referring to the I-864p for a 2 person household. I'll include the "What You Need To Do" part of the RFE below.

    Screenshots of the digital version

    Acrobat_uMA9RKd9AM.png.ce1e6b4b88be43c9a2d7ce7c4a5d1d20.pngAcrobat_GdqTkSDyrP.png.b5f0487878ddeceaf3cc53fa3c8135f6.png

We included 6 months of pay stubs and her (the sponsors) 2023 IRS Tax Return Transcript.

A joint sponsor sadly is not an option.

I hope I have provided enough information for anyone looking at this to be able to help figure out what the missing piece of the puzzle is.

Does anyone have any advice on what to respond with?
