I have just received my green card in the post and it is a 2 conditional card not the 10 year card like I expected. I arrived in the USA the day after my second wedding anniversary so I m confused as to why it s a CR1. Does anyone know if I m able to do anything to get this mistake fixed? I purposely waited until after the 2 year anniversary so we wouldn t have to go through removing the conditions. The date I ve been a resident since is the day I arrived in the states so I m not sure what s going on.

There seemed to be issues with the biometrics and I had to go to a USCIS application centre for a new picture but I m not sure if that would have anything to do with the current issue.

For example, with a joint lease, should I include the full 40+ page document or just the pages that list both of our names?

For bank statements, are the full statements needed, or just the summary page that lists us both?

Both me and my wife's Green Card is expiring in another 6 moths. We are now considering to apply for citizenship, however, not sure if we need to first get the GC extended prior to applying for citizenship? What if we directly apply for citizenship now and this process takes longer than 6 months? Do they give some sort of evidence that I can use for employment status and international travel use if I apply for citizenship?

Please advise.

My fiance (UK citizen) and I (US citizen) live together outside of the US and are considering getting married online, which would be registered in Utah. We would like to get married online for convenience purposes, and have no intent to move to the US. We are planning to visit my family in the US shortly after the online marriage, and I'm wondering if this could cause any issues. Would my then husband still be able to enter the US to visit on an ESTA visa waiver? He currently has ESTA approval from a previous visit to the US last year.

We have no plans to move to the US in the foreseeable future, but I'm wanting to make sure that an online marriage registered in Utah wouldn't cause us issues with short visits to the US on an ESTA visa waiver, and longer term, the possibility of applying for spouse visa in the future if we ever wanted to move to the US.

How long did it take for you to be DQ?
