It has my spouse's name and says the embassy has sent us a message but when I log in to CEAC I don't see any message! I looked everywhere I don't understand, is it just a normal confirmation, as it has the interview date and time on it. Interview is in 3 days from today.

Hello, I hope you all are well. I'm sure most people are aware of the insecurities in Haiti. I would like to apply for a K1 visa. I am aware that a key factor of the application requires to visit the fiance within 2 years. Haiti is very unsafe, to the point there are no embassies open. I met my partner in 2019 in Haiti. With the assassination of the president in 2021, increase in violence, kidnapping, and gangs taking over the country it is high risk to travel to Haiti. Is there a way to be excluded from visiting a country with such insecurities in the K 1 visa application? The possibility for the Haitian resident to travel to Dominican Republic also poses a threat. The ability to travel to another island such as Jamaica or Bahamas is highly expensive because of no embassies and all travel agencies are ridiculously expensive. Not to mention traveling to an agency is also a risk. On the state department website, Haiti is a level 4, Do Not Travel.

My husband is finally here on a marriage visa (CR-1). At the end of this year, he'll be starting the process of removing conditions.

I (USC) have not changed my last name due to his culture not having a "family" name, (the husband's first name becomes the wife's last name). Will this cause an issue with him getting his conditions removed because we don't have the same last name?

All documents involving both of us have my name as it always has been, including when I petitioned for him.

(I believe he is afraid because of the new administration that this will cause issues)

Hello everyone, it seems like many people are having problems findings available slot open for their VAC OFC in Manila for Photo and Fingerprints. I called the US Embassy Manila and they were of no help. Embassy interview on March 20th and until now on the OFC Manila nothing is available until April. Here is my question, what if we go the interview without the Biometrics would they hold the visa until the biometrics received?
