Community SpotlightDV Lottery of K1 Visa - Can I file for both?
Petrisaint Mpaka posted a topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures,
I applied for the DV lottery 2025 and hope to be selected this year. My fiancé and I discovered that there is a fiancé visa for the USA. Do you think if we apply for the K1 visa but are selected for the DV lottery that we can stop the fiancé visa process? What are the timelines and options here :)?-

Confused about steps after marriage
SP1988 posted a topic in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas,
My fiancee arrived last month on K1 fiance visa and we got married yesterday. It seems from what I have seen online that I made a mistake by not getting SSN prior to marriage? I am going to the SSN office on Monday to gather more information... also worried about employment authorization and travel authorization(s). Thanks for any insights!-

Tourist visa cancelled by CBP agent. Can we still get a CR1 or K1 Visa?
yotajeeper posted a topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration,
Upon my gf's most recent arrival, her tourist visa was cancelled at the airport due to her frequent visits last year and suspicion of working here. She was denied entry and sent back same day. Is a CR1 or K1 visa process an option still? I would appreciate any advice or tips you can provide!-

3 RepliesGood afternoon,
I wanted to give you a quick update. This morning, I attended my medical examination where they conducted a chest X-ray and checked my vision, ears, mouth, chest, skin, lungs, heart, and blood pressure. They also took a blood test and reviewed my vaccination records.
At the time, I went completely blank and didn t ask the questions I now have. When the nurse reviewed my vaccination records, she mentioned that I needed a booster for Td/IPV (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio) since my last one was over 10 years ago. I have since received the booster elsewhere and sent them the certification. Now, I'm waiting for the nurse to confirm that everything is in order.
However, she also stated that I need a Covid-19 booster. I currently have had two doses and one booster, but since the booster was over 12 months ago, I require another. I m reluctant to get the Covid-19 booster. What would happen if I decide not to get it, considering I am already fully vaccinated with one booster? If it is absolutely essential, will I need to get it done before my interview on the 18th of July?
If I choose not to get the Covid-19 booster, will they refuse to send my medical results to the embassy? Currently, in the UK, Covid-19 vaccinations are only issued to those aged 75+ or to individuals with compromised immune systems. If I were to go private, it would cost me over 100 for a booster, whereas a few months ago, it was free.
Any thoughts?
Kind regards,
Jon

2 RepliesMy case has been transferred to Ciudad Juarez for an interview that is scheduled for July 23, 2024.
I went into the CEAC website to upload most current income taxes for my sponsor and I noticed that it said one item was missing (or incomplete) for my daughter. I clicked on the missing item it is a police certificate (no antecedents penales in Spanish). My daughter is age 17 and will turn 18 on October 2 of this year.
I did some research and found that the NVC requires a police certificate for anyone age over 16. However, I also found out that in Mexico a police certificate will not be issued for anyone under age 18.
I don't know how to resolve this issue. I don't want my daughter to be denied during our July 23 interview because of a missing police certificate. Can anyone shed some light on this issue or tell me how to resolve this?

27 RepliesHi everyone!
Briefly, I applied for ROC I-751 last year, and this year I applied for N-400 Naturalization. I went to the naturalization interview without knowing it would be for both cases (I did not receive confirmation of the interview date for ROC and could not reach any USCIS assistance by phone).
The reason my N-400 was denied was because my wife was not present and they could not remove my conditions. Simple as that. The immigration officer told me she should be there, even though she continued with both interviews with me, alone.
Yesterday, I just received a notification saying that N-400 was denied and my permanent residency status was terminated (which I presume was denied also, right?).The notice suggests applying for an N-336 request for a hearing.
I don't know what the best option. Take the risk and time for N-336, reapply for I-751...
Or if there is any other better way to proceed
Please, any help is welcome.
