Abandoned AOS and now regret it
Please be nice, I know I made a mistake... But got my K1 approved and arrived in the US June 25, 2024 and applied for AOS February 25, 2025 -- then left the US (abandoned my AOS). Will I be banned for re-entry to the US -- even under a spouse visa?

US Citizen with Foreign Fiancé: When and How to Get Married?
I'm currently living and working in the United States. My fiancé currently lives in Japan. We have been dating for about 6 months, and we have met in person several times, but we are not yet married.
My fiancé will be visiting me in the United States on a tourist visa some time in March or April and staying for about 3 months. I want to file for a fiance/spouse visa asap -- what's next?

N400: Admitted to Weed during Green Card (was it a crime I was not arrested for?)
To start, marijuana is illegal in my country of origin. When I was applying for my green card I admitted to trying marijuana when I was in my 20's (I'm 49 now). I got my green card and have lived in the US for 5 years. I'm in the process of applying for citizenship. What answer should I give to the question: "Have you EVER committed, agreed to commit, asked someone else to commit, helped commit, or tried to commit a crime or offense for which you were NOT arrested? Yes or No" given that I admitted to past marijuana use during the GC process?

Fiancée threatened with deportation by customs agent after arriving at airport for false accusations. How concerned should we be?
Firstly, I want to get some things clear because I know everyone will say this otherwise:
We are seeing an immigration attorney for consultation soon. We've already printed out several documents to prove that my fiancée is not coming here with the intent to live here for the future until they get the K-1 Visa... Now, Heres the actual story...

Fiance or Marriage Visa in 2025 ? Pros and cons?
    I'm 23F 🇨🇿, my partner is 29M 🇺🇲
We want to get our visa going sometime this year and want to be together as soon as possible but we are still unsure which visa would serve us better. I'd like to get married in my home country but on the other side i wouldn't mind getting married paperwise in the US and waiting for my work permit and etc if it would allow us to be together faster and then save up for and have our dream wedding in my home country.

What do you think ? All of this is so overwhelming and confusing and we just want to do the right thing.

I asked the same question on reddit, so many people recommended me to go with fiance visa, two suggested marriage visa. I need more input and advice  from experienced people. Thank you
Ps: is it possible to have dual citizenship so i don't lose one from my home country? How does that work ?

We just received the NOA 2 from USCIS approving the K-1 this week. I noticed on the NOA under Notice Type it reads the approval is Valid from 04/1/2025 to 08/13/2025. Can anyone provide any insight into this "valid from" meaning. From my understanding we are not able to access the claim to begin any steps in the portal until we receive the case number and other necessary information from NVC. We also need information from NVC to request an appointment date with the Embassy in Dakar. Does anyone have any insight on their current backlog for interviews? Also, what happens if we are not able to get the interview scheduled prior to August 13th due to backlog? Does the claim just expire and we have to pay to go through the process again? Thanks in advance for any insight on these questions above. Please note these are standalone questions and do not have anything to do with my "timeline" and/or the original case I submitted and setup my account for. Thanks again!

Hello everyone, I am freaking out a little bit. I disclosed on my i485 that I was turned away from the USA border due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I did not disclose this on my i751 and I was wondering if I had to disclose it on my n-400 application. I received my green card in 2021.

I received a RFE for birth certificate and USCIS asks that the birth certificate must include the following:

    1. be registered and issued by an appropriate civil authority in the country of birth,

    2. Show the name of the child, date and place of birth, and parent(s) names,

    3. Include the date of registration, seal of the issuing office, and signature of the registrar.

The document has everything but a signature of the registrar, the document is original and was issued back when the kid was born in 2008. Is the signature of the registrar a hand written signature? What can I do if it doesn t have one?

      Hi everyone!

I will be entering US with a K1 visa. I will have a direct flight from YYZ-DFW. I am curious where I should give the yellow envelope, is it given to my POE which is DFW?

And the vaccination sheet sent to me via email from the doctor, i printed it out, is it also one of the things they ask for?

and feel free to let me know what other documents they ask upon entry.

      Thank you.

Hey everyone! I’m currently in the process of applying for the IR-1 (Immediate Relative) Spouse Visa from Pakistan, and I was hoping someone could guide me regarding the required family-related documentation.
      Specifically, I need to clarify:
👉 Do I only need the Marriage Registration Certificate (MRC) issued by the Union Council?
      OR
👉 Do I also need the Family Registration Certificate (FRC) issued by NADRA?
      Here’s the challenge:
My spouse is a U.S. citizen and not a Pakistani national, so in order to be included in the FRC, they would first need to obtain a Pakistan Origin Card (POC) — which is an entirely separate process and would add significant time and paperwork.
      So my question is:
Is the MRC issued by the Union Council sufficient for the IR-1 visa process, or is the NADRA-issued FRC also mandatory — even when the spouse is a foreign national?
Any help from someone who has gone through this process in Pakistan would be truly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
