Hi,

I am so happy I wanted to tell the only people in the World who i know will appreciate it that we were approved today, December 10th ! I am relieved and surprised as I had mentally prepared myself for a 6 month wait just so I would not be disappointed every time I checked the website lol! We filed on July 27th so I think we are about on schedule, but maybe a bit before, so I hope everybody who is waiting gets a nice surprise in their inbox soon!

Just one question for anyone who knows about London. Do I need my police clearance when I return Packet 3 or at the interview? I am still in NYC with Sidiq and have not even applied for it yet. We are off home for Christmas in a week and will do so first thing, but worried I will need it to even set up the interview..I am hoping someone completes my day and tells me I do not need it until interview!

Thanks so much everybody, this forum has made, and will make the whole waiting process so much more tolerable and less lonely!

Congrats on the approval!

The police clearance takes about 40 days to get, so you should get on that ASAP! You can return Packet 3 without having in hand it as you bring it with you to the interview, just bear in mind if you don't receive it before the interview, they will give you a conditional Visa approval, pending receipt of the clear police record.

Some would say not to send it back without the document in hand. I say you're an adult and can make that decision for yourself.

Good luck on the rest of your journey!!

Thanks so much everyone and I am sure yours will be on their way soon Kaush & Julezabelle!

As for the police certificate, that is a good point, I had not even thought of the possibility of getting an interview and not having received it, but I think I should be ok as I should get it by February if I apply next week, and I don't think I'll have an interview by then looking at London timeframes.

Thanks again

anyone got a link to the police form? We have not filed for our K1 yet as we are waiting for my Fiancée's divorce to come through first but thought I would get the ball rolling and we have all our evidence etc already documented along with as many forms etc complete except the date so we can get the process completed as quickly and smoothly as possible.
