I just hate the whole idea of proving you are in love with somebody, but anyway. I read the list Evidence list( Evidence of a Bonifide Marriage) and I dont have anything like that, we only got married 2 months ago, if I dont have any kind of evidence (ex: Joint banking account, bonds, housing,) is there anything else I can supply? I just dont want to be red flaged (I dont want this to drag) Would it be redflaged if they dont have any "typical" evidence? 2 months is long enough wait..... and We've got lots of months of waiting to go :( How can I prove to them that its not a fake marriage?

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Newly weds usually don't have the hard evidence. That applies to couples that have lived together aboard. Some who filed used the affidavits of family and friends as evidence, sending in 2 or 3. Some did not send anything, and got approved.

USCIS understand this, you need stronger evidence later when adjusting status from K-3 Visa to green-card.

All you need at this point is wedding photos, and a marriage cert.

The I-130 is also used for couples who live together. I've seen no evidence that any additional evidence beyond the marriage certificate is required of newlyweds who have never even lived in the same country. You'll provide evidence of bona fide ongoing relationship at interview in the form of communication and visits. Don't confuse that with proving you are in love.

One other thing you may want to consider before filing for the K-3, is the CR-1 visa.

CR-1 is filing the I-130 ONLY, and NO I-129F, CR-1 results in a green-card upon entry, allowing work and other benefits, K-3 requires adjustment of status and payment of a $1010 fee to get (Green-card and EAD), and EAD which takes up to 90 days to get in order to take a job.

You can use VJ to compare the processing times.

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/ (Select K-3 advanced, filter for Russia, and sort by interview date, then do the same for CR-1)

Thanks so much, I've seen the timelines, but which one would be faster for her to just get here, we cant wait anymore, she is having nervous breakdowns, so for me priority is for her to be here the fastest. What would you recommend? CR-1 or K-3?

thanks

K3 is generally at least a couple months faster but costs about $900 more altogether. You also have the hassles of AOS and Civil Surgeons.

We sent no evidence other than a copy of the marriage book issued by the government of Indonesia and a certified English translation, done by one of the accepted translators on the Embassy list. No photos, affidavits...and on the line that asked where we shared our last address I put "See line #...her address in Jakarta" and then put the assy comment "waiting on K3 visa to share address"

Must have worked. We got approved no RFE
